This collection concept "Colourful Life" is based on colour theory and seeks to help people in modern societies recover from fatigue and lighten their mood. As colour is known to have an impact of human emotion, Lee's aim is to design colourful sportswear to make people feel energetic.
This collection is inspired by Jackson Pollock, who improved his mental health through his work, and performance artist Leigh Bowery's colourful makeup and unique costumes. From these inspirations, she creates a subtle yet vibrant and wearable collection that features patterns, details and textures to add excitement and energy.
Chaerin Lee is a graduate of MA Fashion Design at Kingston University, where she developed strong interest in womenswear, sportswear, fabric development and print design.

Furthermore, the collection is also inspired by 1980's sportswear—particularly, Jane Fonda's fitness video which prompted many people to enjoy exercise with an emphasis on a healthy lifestyle. Chaerin Lee went to sportswear and vintage shops for research before deciding to on sportswear. She organised the collection using various items such as long mesh skirts, bomber jacket, windbreaker, and jumper.
