WELCOME TO LYFF!
Welcome to LYFF 2023, where you can explore a world of cinema and movie related activities for the whole family. The films we select as part of our programme are often award winners in their own countries and have huge crowds going to watch them. We want to share these with you at LYFF because we’re also really passionate about giving you the chance to see children’s lives from new places and in other cultures.
We are screening a range of fantastic short films across the City during LYFF in partnership with Refreshing Films who have put together the Cinemini project. These include a variety of European heritage and art films, animations, abstract films, black and white and handcoloured films. They are free to watch at Leeds Art Gallery, Leeds City Museum, Millennium Square Big Screen and Kirkgate Market at various times during the dates of the festival.
We’re delighted to be reaching more young audiences with the support of the BFI, awarding funds from the National Lottery.

We will also be showing these films in the Carriageworks on Friday 7 April. Leedsfilm.com for more info.
