ANNUAL REPORT 2009
Revelr y in the Pear Garden SHOWCAIS 2009
The 2009 ShowCAIS event was truly a community-wide occasion. It encompassed not only the gala event in May, but also included many fundraising opportunities leading up to Revelry in the Pear Garden. ShowCAIS kids’ art preview, silent auction launch, party sign-ups and garden of gifts were all ways our community was able to participate in ShowCAIS. Under the direction of an army of volunteers, the Development Office and co-chairs Denise Collier, Jackie Holen and Tricia Tong, ShowCAIS raised more than $200,000 for our school. ShowCAIS helped raise money in a fun-filled environment that gave the community a chance to reconnect and socialize outside the halls of school. The 2009 Fund-A-Need campaign, which focused on tuition assistance, was a spectacular showing of support. Our community raised their bidder numbers and gave $85,000, an unprecedented record that really showed that the CAIS community believes in the importance and commitment of keeping CAIS classmates together during challenging financial times. Everyone who worked on ShowCAIS 2009: Revelry in the Pear Garden is tremendously grateful for the meaningful support.
