Welcome... Happy New Year to you and welcome to our Spring programme for 2011. This Spring we have a fantastic selection of shows and events taking place here in the Princes Theatre. After the huge success of our exhibitions we held last year, we are pleased to have returning the Antiques, Vintage, Retro and Collectors Fair, the Clacton Gazette Jobs and Training Fair and the Clacton Wedding Fair. We are also very pleased to announce our Christmas Pantomime this year will be, Jack and the Bean Stalk! Although a little way away yet, why not take advantage of our early bird offer! We have a real treat for the little ones this Spring, with Fireman Sam and Norman Price live on stage at the start of the year, closely followed by Cbeebies Presenter Andy Day, with his show, Andy and Mike’s Big Box of Bananas! For the slightly older children we have a debut from The Chuckle Brothers and a fantastic sing-a-long show, High School Rocks. For the music lovers we have Killer Queen, the smash hit show, Magic of Motown, The Searchers live on stage and The Billy Fury Story. We also have the fantastic Circus of Horrors returning, which is certainly not for the faint hearted and also returning the stunning Essence of Ireland Show. The Princes Theatre Team look forward to welcoming you to the District’s largest professional venue some time soon. Melissa Diplock Theatre and Entertainments Marketing Manager

Youth Takes a Bow
Isy Suttie - Love Lost in the British Retail Industry
A show full of local young talent.
Known as Dobby from Peep Show (Channel 4), acclaimed musical comic Isy Suttie performs her multi-character musical love story set in a Northern supermarket, along with songs and diary extracts in an often difficult quest for ‘The One’.
Produced by Melissa Wenn the variety review gives local performing arts schools the chance to showcase their talents. All proceeds from the show go to The Youth Theatre Supporters charity that support and provide performance opportunities for the talented youth of Tendring. In March 2010 the charity gave 40 local young dancers and singers, many of whom had never performed on a stage before, the experience of performing in the West End at Her Majesty’s Theatre. In December the charity funded the Pantomime Snow White at the Columbine Centre which featured 50 local young performers.
Isy’s completed two sell-out Edinburgh Festival runs and her unique style contains both comedy and pathos, with a winning stage manner which will leave your heart full of hope. One of the most versatile comics in the UK. Jay Richardson, The Scotsman A voice you want to swim in. Johann Hari, The Independent
