Ellis Crag Is hidden on the edge of Redesdale Forest, a 40 minute walk from
Byrness into long forgotten clean and varied sand stone, with an impressive roof that has yet to claimed, fantastic lines, good problems of different grades, get out and investigate, enjoy the problems here and find your own , definatly a good day out, just take a brush and be creative.
Crag Overview This crag is a peaceful bouldering heaven with excellent trad routes, projects and solos. Landings are usually good, but access is difficult, crossing the crag is hilarious. If you can traverse the full crag without falling over the Heather, tick another problem, the Ellis crag traverse (walking that is) probably impossible? Enjoy!
