• All WPCC Extended Campus Programs accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) Commission on Colleges • Teacher Education program accredited by the Teacher Education Accreditation Council (TEAC) and the North Carolina Department of Education (NCDPI)
Criminal Justice: This full-time program is offered through a combination of
seated and online classes. It builds upon an associate’s degree in Criminal Justice, an associate of arts or associate of science, or a combination of 73 credit hours of college-level work that can be transferred to LeesMcRae College. This 51 credit hour program can be completed over two years and leads to a BAAS in Criminal Justice. Seated classes meet once a week and hybrid classes meet three times per semester, with the remainder of the courses provided online.
Elementary Education: This full-
time program prepares students to be teachers in the North Carolina Public School System. It builds upon an associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education or an associate of arts or associate of science. This 60 credit hour program takes place over two years and includes one summer session. Seated classes meet two evenings a week.
Online Programs Criminal Justice (beginning January 2014): This full-time program is entirely online. Courses take place over four semesters and can be completed in two years. Internships take place in the student’s own community.
Human Services: Proposed to start in Fall 2014, this full-time online program can be completed in two years and prepares students for careers in various agencies and programs providing direct services to individuals, families or communities. RN to BSN: This full-time program is designed for students who are working in the healthcare field who already hold a two-year degree in Nursing. All 50 credit hours are online and can be completed in two years.
