For the past 10 years, the Bobcat Kids’ Club has offered exciting activities for future Bobcats during Frolic Week, and this year is no exception! Bobcat Kids’ Club is a day camp for kids ages 4-11. Camp hours are Monday through Thursday, 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. Friday hours are 9:00 a.m. until noon. Dropoff and pick-up will be at Wily’s Place in the Cannon Student Center.

Payment Information

The activity fee is $30 per on-campus camper and $50 per off-campus camper. This includes snacks, lunch, activities, and a camp souvenir. Children should wear comfortable clothing and shoes. Adult volunteers supervise the camp. Hiking, off-campus outings such as gem mining and putt-putt, and crafts are all part of the program.

A $50 deposit is required with registration and is refundable if cancelled before June 25.

This unique show, featuring more than 30 vendors, began as an outdoor “clothesline” exhibition held by two Lees-McRae alumni in 1973. Now, it’s one of the premier art shows of the summer! Items for sale include pottery, woodworking items, jewelry, framed photographs, pillows, wooden bowls, paintings, crocheted items, ceramics, stained glass, mosaics, floral arrangements and much more.

All proceeds from the show are designated by the Lees-McRae College Alumni Board for special needs and scholarships for students.

Bobcat Teen Camp Since the Bobcat Kids’ Club has tripled in size over the past 10 years, organizers saw a need to form two camps - one with programming for older kids! Bobcat Teen Camp is a day camp for kids ages 12-15. Camp hours are Monday through Thursday, 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. Friday hours are 9:00 a.m. until noon. Campers will meet in Wily’s Place in the Cannon Student Center each day. The activity fee is $15 per on-campus camper and $30 per off-campus camper. Campers will participate in various outdoor recreational activities as well as leadership training. The cost per camper includes food and activities.

Lodging Information

Sunday, July 10

• Rooms are available on the first and second floors of Avery Residence Hall and on all three floors of Virginia Residence Hall.

Monday, July 11

• The second floor of Avery and first floor of Virginia are handicap accessible. Tate Residence Hall is closed for renovations this summer. Rooms are assigned as registration forms are received. Specific requests for rooms will be honored IF possible. Confirmations will be mailed. • Final payment is due upon check-in. • Unreturned or lost keys will be charged $35 per key.

These rates include three meals a day and all events except for the Summer Alumni Banquet, whitewater rafting trip, Summer Theatre’s Swing! The Musical, and children’s programming. • Adult (12 & up): $50 per person, per day • Child (6 to 11): $35 per person, per day • Children ages 5 and under are no charge

You don’t want to miss this trip! Price includes transportation, guide, a substantial and home-cooked lunch, entertainment and a rafting experience unique with Edge of the World. Water level is dam-controlled by the Tennessee Valley Authority, so flow is guaranteed on the Watauga River! Edge of the World cancellation policy dictates no refunds within one week of the trip (last chance to cancel is Friday, July 8). Waiver forms for all participating must be turned in at check-in at The Alumni House. Pricing depends on group size and ranges from $54 to $69 for adults and $44 to $59 for children.
