Lees-McRae Bookstore Lees-McRae College is excited to announce a new flat-rate textbook program beginning Fall 2015. Offered through Barnes and Noble, this program will ensure that you have the required textbooks and course materials by the first day of class with an average cost savings of 47%. At the start of the semester, you will receive your books directly through the mail. These books are pre-selected and packaged based on courses for which you are registered. These books are used throughout the semester and returned with a provided postage-free label which will be emailed to you. Barnes and Noble will maintain a surplus inventory in the campus bookstore. You may exchange or add books through direct mail or the bookstore, whichever is more convenient. Extended campus and online students will pay $295 per semester. These rates have been carefully negotiated, ensuring that students and families benefit from an average cost savings of 47%. There are no upcharges for additional credit hours. Because the flat-rate pricing structure is based on overall enrollment numbers, historic registration and bookstore statistics, all students must participate to receive the overall cost savings. In some cases, such as student teaching, program exceptions may be permitted.
