Water-lily Wander Route Summary:
A circular route around beautiful Bowyers Water. Experience the wonderful views of White and Yellow Water-lilies alongside other water plants such as Yellow Flag Iris in early summer. Particularly suitable for disabled people and pushchairs.

Starting Point:
Pindar car park Windmill Lane, Cheshunt, Herts, EN8 9AJ
From the centre of the car park, proceed south along the surfaced path. Turn left at the end of the pathway and proceed south, alongside the Small River Lee, passing through Turnershill Marsh. At the small angler’s car park, take the right hand path and continue. Cross over a small wooden bridge, turning to the right and continue along the pathway bearing right. Proceed along the path, keeping Bowyers Water on your left. At the next junction, at the north of the lake, bear to the left keeping Bowyers Water on your left, passing the Orchid Meadow and information panel. Continue on the tarmac pathway bearing left over another wooden bridge, ensuring that the lake remains on the left and the railway on the right, passing a second bat hibernaculum. Cross over the narrow wooden bridge At end of the lake and just before a wooden gate, turn left over a wooden bridge, following the pathway around the south end of the lake. Continue on the pathway north, bearing to the left and keeping Bowyers Water on the left. At the next junction, bear to the left, between the lake and Small River Lee. At the north of the lake, turn right and continue north, along the pathway, passing through Thistly Marsh. Proceed over the metal bridge to the right, crossing the Small River Lee and continue. Turn left onto the pathway, retracing your steps north, turning right along the path, back to the car park.
