A circular river and woodland route, combining wildlife and heritage. The route heads south along the towpath past Silvermeade, crossing the navigation at Kings Weir before heading north through Rusheymead

A mixture of towpath, surfaced and grass pathways some of which can become wet and muddy. Several bridges and steps off Old Nazeing Road.
Starting Point:
Broxbourne Old Mill and Meadows car park Off Station Road, Broxbourne, EN10 6LX
From the Old Mill and Meadow car park, proceed under the railway bridge and turn right in a south direction down the towpath. Turn right through the kissing gate onto Silvermeade, and continue along the grass path, parallel to the railway line. Proceed through the kissing gate and continue with the ditch on the right. Exit Silvermeade through the kissing gate and turn right onto the towpath heading south. Pass the Wharf Road car park on the right. Turn left over the bridge across the River Lee Navigation. Turn left continuing on the pathway to Kings Weir. Proceed up the steps across the narrow bridge and continue on the grass path, keeping Holyfield Lake on the right. Before the bridge, turn left at the concrete pillars and continue north along the pathway, leading onto Green Lane. Proceed through the field gate to the end of the lane. Turn left onto Old Nazeing Road along the pavement for approximately 25m. Cross the road and proceed through the kissing gate (on the left of the terraced houses) onto Rusheymead. Continue on the surface path, bearing left at the pathway junction, past the picnic are on the right and over the boardwalk Proceed through the wooded area, bearing to the left along the surfaced path. Continue through the kissing gate, turning left onto the towpath, heading west past the Crown Pub. Turn right up the steps onto the road, continuing across the bridge over the River Lee Navigation. Turn left at the end of the bridge, onto the towpath. Continue over the large metal bridge, immediately turning right along the pathway and under the railway bridge into the Old Mill and Meadow car park.
