2022-2023 ANNUAL REPORT
MESSAGE FROM THE HEAD OF SCHOOL
DEAR LCA COMMUNITY, As we embark on another year filled with God’s blessings, I am privileged to present the Annual Report for the 2022-23 fiscal year, covering August 1, 2022, to July 31, 2023. I am delighted to share that last year, an astounding 38% of our LCA families came together to invest $2.4 million in our Annual Fund. This incredible generosity has empowered us to go above and beyond tuition, enabling us to provide our students with distinctive learning experiences that will undoubtedly equip them for success in college and beyond. Enclosed, you will find our comprehensive financial report. Transparency is paramount in our partnership, and it is essential to demonstrate how diligently we steward the financial resources entrusted to us. Legacy is healthy and thriving thanks to the diligence and unwavering support of our Board of Trustees and Finance Committee. They work alongside our school leadership to ensure the long-term financial sustainability of our beloved school. Your investments in the Annual Fund have left an indelible mark on the lives of every student at LCA. Last year’s contributions were pivotal in funding essential programs, such as Vex Robotics, Computer Science initiatives, and the Project Lead the Way Curriculum. Moreover, we introduced state-of-the-art technology with Promethean boards in every classroom, offering our students an enriched learning environment. Our commitment to providing exceptional educational opportunities extends beyond the classroom. Thanks to your support, we renovated the ELC greenhouse, creating an engaging space for our youngest learners to explore and grow gardens. Additionally, we enhanced our athletic facilities, upgrading the Comstock field turf and all locker rooms. Installing new video scoreboards on Comstock Field and the Upper School gym further elevates the student experience. As we reflect on the past year’s accomplishments, it is with great excitement and anticipation that we look forward to the continued blessings that God has in store for LCA. 2 Corinthians 9:8 reminds us that God supplies our every need. May He continue to bless and guide our school abundantly. I extend my heartfelt gratitude to each member of the LCA community for your unwavering support. Together, we are shaping a future filled with promise and purpose for our students. In His service,
Kevin Mosley Head of School

ANNUAL FUND IMPACT Thank you for generously supporting the Annual Fund in the 2022-2023 fiscal year! Last year, 38% of our families came together and invested $2.4 million to empower LCA to go over and above the investment of tuition, providing students with distinctive learning experiences that will equip them to succeed in college and beyond. Your support was transformational, allowing us to open the Early Learning Campus and offer students unique learning experiences, such as the ELC Greenhouse. Your generosity also touched every classroom on every LCA campus, providing Promethean boards for each room and fostering consistent learning experiences for our students. Thanks to over $200,000 in funding for Vex Robotics, Computer Science, and Project Lead the Way Curriculum, students from Pre K-3 through 12th grade are now actively engaged in STEM learning. The health of the Annual Fund also allowed us to provide neurodiverse learners with cutting-edge technology that offers literacy support tools to help with everyday tasks like reading text out loud, understanding unfamiliar words, researching assignments, and proofing written work. Your generosity touches the life of every student as they learn in the classroom and participate in various fields of competition. Thanks to you, the general library and Spanish Immersion library collections were expanded, providing more on-level and advanced reading opportunities. In addition, students now enjoy new softball and baseball equipment, new basketball video scoreboards, a new scoreboard at Comstock Field, improved locker rooms at all campuses, and more! Because of your faithfulness, students are not only discovering their unique talents but also actively participating in programs that foster academic and spiritual development. Your investment in LCA transcends financial support; it is an investment in our students, the Christian leaders God will use to minister in every facet of life. Thank you for laying a foundation and partnering with us to develop strong leaders with biblical convictions. We are grateful for your commitment to making a kingdom impact by investing in the students at LCA.

CAMPUS IMPACT
“With the updated cooling system and window repairs, I can now conduct gardening classes inside the greenhouse, providing students with weekly exposure to an authentic gardening environment. Classes are more intimate and free of playground distractions during recess.
“Everyone loves watching instant replays on the football scoreboard, right? Recently, LCA invested in a new video board at Comstock Field that is bigger and more technologically advanced than the previous scoreboard. I’ve had the privilege of learning the new software accompanying our new video board, and it’s great fun! We can now ‘publish’ small video clips such as ‘TOUCHDOWN EAGLES!’ or a spinning LCA logo. Additionally, we can show instant replays, special messages, LCA Homecoming pictures, and sponsorship advertisements throughout the game. Soon, the new video board will also be able to show a live feed from a video camera on the field in real time. I hope you’re enjoying it as much as I am!”
I look forward to using the irrigation system in the coming months to keep plants watered over the weekends and through the winter, as most of our gardening will move inside the greenhouse.” —Karen Profeta, ELC Teacher

Expanded Spanish Immersion Library Collection CAMPUS IMPACT “Our Spanish Immersion program has grown each year, and thankfully, we’ve been able to add hundreds of new titles to our library to accommodate this growth. We’ve gone from one bookcase in 2020 to multiple sections of fiction and nonfiction books in varying levels to help our Spanish Immersion students grow in their reading ability. We’ve also added new fiction and nonfiction Spanish books to our ELC library this year. Our goal is to host a Spanish Book Fair in the coming months to provide even more options for our Spanish Immersion students and families.” —Julie Bratcher, Librarian & AARK Coordinator
Dyslexia Therapy CAMPUS IMPACT “How good is our God! Through the generosity of the Annual Fund, our neurodiverse learners can now fully display the breadth of their knowledge. With the assistance of cuttingedge software, doors have been opened, and barriers have been removed. This is truly a blessing to our students. Thank you, donors, for your generosity and belief that God created each of us uniquely. You have provided tools for the students of LCA to shine.” —Kristina Stockton, Dyslexia Coordinator

Added Security CAMPUS IMPACT “As a parent of two children at LCA, one at the North Campus and one at the South Campus, we are pleased with the increased security measures. It has given our family an overall sense of security and peace of mind that we have additional officers patrolling all campuses. Our family has been at LCA for almost 10 years, and we have seen LCA grow and adapt over the years. We feel blessed that LCA has taken thoughtful measures to faithfully show visible improvements in security and has added wonderful, servant-hearted security officers to watch over our precious kids!” —Gretchen Rivera, LCA Parent
Middle School Locker Rooms CAMPUS IMPACT “Thanks to Annual Fund donations, Legacy was able to make wonderful updates to our Middle School Boys and Girls Locker Rooms on the South Campus, including new paint, refinished flooring, and new storage options for athletes. New signs and graphics were also recently added to the walls. We are grateful that our athletes get to experience this refresh every day and can take pride in welcoming visiting schools to beautiful new locker rooms.” —Tiffani Hall, MS History Teacher & MS Athletic Coordinator

MESSAGE FROM THE CHAIRMAN, BOARD OF TRUSTEES
DEAR FELLOW LEGACY FAMILIES, LCA stands as the unwavering school of choice for committed Christian families in North Texas. Our commitment to developing strong leaders with biblical convictions remains at the core of everything we do. We appreciate your ongoing dedication to shaping a community where Christian values, education, and leadership intertwine to create a nurturing environment for the next generation. From the moment my wife, Irina, and I stepped foot on the LCA campus, almost eight years ago, we felt the love of Christ, and have been blessed by the school’s leadership and faculty ever since. We couldn’t imagine a better institution to educate our two girls, Olivia (‘28) and Adele (‘32). God is faithful, and we’re excited to see Him continue to move in the lives of our children and yours. At LCA, our commitment to developing strong leaders with biblical convictions remains at the heart of everything we do. We believe that equipping our students with a strong spiritual foundation, along with a well-rounded education, is the key to their success not only in college but also in life beyond academia. Many of you have made a lasting impact on our ability to live out our mission through gifts of your time, your talent, and your treasures. This Annual Report on Philanthropy highlights and recognizes those who have played a crucial role in raising up the next generation of leaders. Because of your support, we’ve been able to foster academic excellence, nurture spiritual growth rooted in an unshakable biblical worldview, promote leadership development, expand college readiness, and offer financial assistance. Your financial support beyond annual tuition is so very appreciated, as your contributions are crucial to our pursuit of academic and mission success. Your investment has enabled the advancement of our faculty and curriculum, security, technology, and athletic and fine arts program enhancements, as well as countless facility improvements. Truly I tell you, as a father of two girls benefiting from the support of those who have gone before us, I’m overwhelmed by your love, by your vision, and by your selflessness. As we look to the next year and beyond, the future is bright because of your unwavering faith. We anticipate with great eagerness all God will do and accomplish through us, His people, at LCA. Thank you for being a critical part of our journey to develop strong, confident leaders with biblical convictions who are prepared to succeed in college and their careers. Your support is changing lives to expand God’s Kingdom. We’re committed to carrying out our mission, and we’re enormously grateful for your partnership to leave a legacy so our community will continue to thrive. Sincerely,
