The oilskin fabric is made of 100% tightly woven cotton that is impregnated with a solution of special oils and waxes to ensure maximum rain, snow and wind protection. Another common term used for this fabric is waxed cotton. This makes the oilskin a highly durable and long lasting product. Unlike synthetic and nylon products, the oilskin has a natural feel and because it is a natural product, it provides excellent breathability. Product Care Instructions Garments made from wax impregnated oilskin cloth, are almost carefree, and will last for many years to come. To clean your oilskin cap simply wipe down with tepid water. Allow to drip dry in a cool, well ventilated area.

Exclusive to Legend, Vor-Tech® has been designed to offer incredible breathability and efficient waterproofing properties. Vor-Tech® fabric is a 2 layer structure which involves the lamination of the Vor-Tech® membrane with an outer nylon fabric providing wind and water resistance. The Vor-Tech® membrane coating is microporous*, allowing the cap to “breathe” as vapourised moisture from the head passes rapidly through the fabric to the outside, ensuring the insulating layers keep you dry and comfortable. This fabric utilises a durable water repellent (DWR), causing water to bead and run off the cap. Water is unable to soak into the weave of the outer fabric for the lifetime of the product. Legend takes pride in creating quality products which complement the waterproof, breathable performance that Vor-Tech® fabric delivers. *Micro-porous technology involves a membrane design using pores which are much smaller than a drop of water, but much larger than a molecule of water. Perspiration easily escapes through the pores in the membrane as moisture vapour.

OILSKIN The oilskin fabric is made of 100% tightly woven cotton that is impregnated with a solution of special oils and waxes to ensure maximum rain, snow and wind protection. Another common term used for this fabric is waxed cotton. This makes the oilskin a highly durable and long lasting product. Unlike synthetic and nylon products, the oilskin has a natural feel and because it is a natural product, it provides excellent breathability. Product Care Instructions Garments made from wax impregnated oilskin cloth, are almost carefree, and will last for many years to come. To clean your oilskin hat simply wipe down with tepid water. Allow to drip dry in a cool, well ventilated area.
Exclusive to Legend, Vor-Tech® has been designed to offer incredible breathability and efficient waterproofing properties. Vor-Tech® fabric is a 2 layer structure which involves the lamination of the Vor-Tech® membrane with an outer nylon fabric providing wind and water resistance. The Vor-Tech® membrane coating is micro-porous*, allowing the cap to “breathe” as vapourised moisture from the head passes rapidly through the fabric to the outside, ensuring the insulating layers keep you dry and comfortable. This fabric utilises a durable water repellent (DWR), causing water to bead and run off the cap. Water is unable to soak into the weave of the outer fabric for the lifetime of the product. Legend takes pride in creating quality products which complement the waterproof, breathable performance that Vor-Tech® fabric delivers.
