Prior to planting this seed, carefully read this information and the Insect Resistance Management Stewardship Guide. The Guide provides instructions for insect resistance management. To receive a copy of the Stewardship Guide or for further information, contact 1-800-SYNGENT (1-800-796-4368). A Syngenta Stewardship Agreement signed by the grower must be on file with Syngenta before taking delivery of, or using these seeds in any way. This product is registered under EPA Reg. No. 67979-23. This seed produces the Bacillus thuringiensis Cry1Ab, Vip3Aa20, Cry1F, modified Cry3A, and eCry3.1Ab insecticidal protein. These proteins provide control or suppression of European corn borer; Southwestern corn borer; Corn earworm; Fall armyworm; Black cutworm; Western bean cutworm; Sugarcane borer; Common stalk borer; Southern cornstalk borer; Beet armyworm; True armyworm; Western corn rootworm; Northern corn rootworm, Mexican corn rootworm, Lesser cornstalk Corn hybrids with the DuracadeViptera™ trait stack are tolerant to glyphosate based herbicides. This technology improves the weed management alternatives available to corn growers by allowing in-crop applications of glyphosate based herbicides either alone, or in combination with other herbicides. Always read and follow label directions. The licensed U.S. Patents for corn hybrid seed with DuracadeViptera™ trait can be found at the following web page www.syngentaus.com/TraitsPatents.The purchase of these seeds conveys no license under said patents to use these seeds. This hybrid is labeled with the LibertyLink logo and is virtually the same as comparable non-LibertyLink crops in all agronomic characteristics, except is resistant to the herbicide glufosinate ammonium and is labeled for use with Liberty Herbicide. LibertyLink crops offer farmers greater herbicide selection by allowing direct applications of Liberty Herbicide. Since Liberty Herbicide provides broad spectrum weed control and mode of action unlike any other herbicide, LibertyLink crops will be an excellent choice for long term weed resistance management. Always read and follow label instructions carefully. Clearly mark this field to eliminate the possibility of herbicide application error. The application of Liberty Herbicide to non-LibertyLink crop will result in crop injury and yield loss, for which Syngenta cannot be held responsible. Please note that seeds from this LibertyLink crop that may volunteer next season will not be controlled by an application of Liberty Herbicide. Roundup Ready® Corn 2 contains in-plant tolerance to Roundup® brand herbicides, enabling growers to spray Roundup® brands over the top, from planting through the V8 stage or 30-inch corn height, with excellent crop safety and no yield reduction. Compared to popular conventional corn programs, the Roundup Ready® Corn 2 system costs less, while allowing hybrids to reach their maximum yield potential.
The Agrisure® Above trait stack offers the convenience of an integrated E-Z Refuge® seed blend plus multiple modes of action against corn borer, as well as suppression of earfeeding insects.
The Agrisure® 3010 trait stack provides season-long control of corn borer, as well as herbicide flexibility with both glyphosate and glufosinate tolerance.
The Duracade® trait stack offers season-long control of corn rootworm and corn borer, as well as suppression of earfeeding insects, and includes a unique mode of action that demonstrates strong performance against corn rootworm, with an integrated E-Z Refuge® seed blend.
DroughtGard® Hybrids with VT Double PRO® RIB Complete® Corn Blend contain the first double-stacked trait with dual modes of action for above ground insects and maximum protection against corn earworm. Superior genetics along with innovative drought-tolerant trait technology helps DroughtGard® Hybrids withstand drought conditions for a better chance of maximizing kernels per ear and overall yield potential.
The DuracadeViptera™ trait stack is the industry’s most comprehensive solution for proactively protecting yield potential and field health, featuring multiple modes of action to control 16 key insects—more than any competitive trait stack—including a unique mode of action that demonstrates strong performance against corn rootworm, and the convenience of an integrated E-Z Refuge® seed blend.
The Agrisure® GT trait provides tolerance to in-crop applications of glyphosate-based herbicides. This hybrid is an excellent option for refuge acres in a structured refuge operation.
The Agrisure Artesian® GTA trait stack combines a hybrid that optimizes the conversion of water to grain and provides improved yield consistency with tolerance to in-crop applications of glyphosate-based herbicides.
Trecepta® technology contains Cry1A.105, Cry2Ab2 and Vip3Aa20 from B.t. that together controls European corn borer, southwestern corn borer, southern cornstalk borer, corn earworm, fall armyworm, stalk borer, sugarcane borer, beet armyworm, true armyworm, black cutworm, western bean cutworm, lesser cornstalk borer and dingy cutworm. Products containing this technology also contain Roundup Ready® 2 Technology that provides tolerance to in-crop applications of labeled glyphosate herbicides when applied according to label directions.
The Viptera® trait stack offers the most comprehensive above-ground insect control with multiple modes of action against key above-ground insects and the convenience of an integrated E-Z Refuge® seed blend. It is ideal for areas where corn rootworm management is not a primary concern.
The Agrisure Viptera® 3110 trait stack offers season-long comprehensive above-ground insect control. It is ideal for areas where corn rootworm management is not a key focus.
The Agrisure Viptera® 3110A trait stack combines the benefits of a hybrid that maximizes yield when it rains and increases yield when it doesn’t, with season- long comprehensive above-ground insect control. It is ideal for areas where corn rootworm management is not a key focus.
SmartStax® RIB Complete® Corn Blend is a mix of 95% Bt. traited, 5% refuge seed. You get all the benefits of SmartStax® technology, plus the convenience of 5% refuge seed interspersed in every bag. It has proven to have a 10 bu/A advantage over non-Bt. traited corn and a 20 bu/A advantage over non-Bt. treated corn + a soil-applied insecticide.
PowerCore® trait technology delivers superior control of above-ground insects in corn. PowerCore® multi-event technology developed by Dow AgroSciences and Monsanto. ®PowerCore is a trademark of Monsanto Technology LLC. Always follow IRM, grain marketing and all other stewardship practices and pesticide label directions. B.t. products may not yet be registered in all states. Check with your seed representative for the registration status in your state. Enlist® builds on the glyphosate and glufosinate systems and provides exceptional weed control in Enlist crops. Enlist crops provide tolerance to Enlist herbicides with Colex-D® technology.
VT Double PRO® RIB Complete® Corn Blend is a mix of 95% traited and 5% refuge seed. With refuge-in-a-bag, there’s no need to calculate or plant separate, structured refuge in the Corn-Growing Area. It contains dual modes of action for maximum protection against corn earworm and other above-ground pests, like European and Southwestern corn borers, and fall armyworm.

SEASON-LONG NITROGEN FIXATION with
HOW ENVITA WORKS WITHIN THE PLANT
SEASON-LONG MODE OF ACTION
Bacteria create vesicles within the cells which capture atmospheric nitrogen providing season-long nitrogen nourishment.
BACTERIA ARE QUICK TO COLONIZE
With foliar application, Envita enters through the leaf stomata and into the plant cells. From there, the bacteria quickly begin to colonize and translocate throughout the plant.
TRANSLOCATES & REPLICATES
In-furrow application allows Envita bacteria to enter through the root zone where it translocates and replicates throughout the plant. The bacteria begin colonizing and capturing atmospheric nitrogen.
WEATHERPROOF NITROGEN
When nitrogen is lost to the environment through leaching, denitrification, volatility, or is simply not accessible due to drought conditions, Envita is there to deliver nitrogen where and when it’s needed all season long.
KEY BENEFITS
•N-fixing bacteria that works within the plant all season long!
•Works throughout the entire plant to supplement nitrogen where & when it's needed
•Easy to tank mix and apply in-furrow or foliar
•Backed by a performance guarantee
APPLICATION METHODS/RATE
•In-furrow: 3.2 fl. oz. per acre
•Foliar: 3.2 fl. oz per acre

TAKE YOUR YIELD TO THE NEXT BRANCH with
HOW SOYFX WORKS WITHIN THE PLANT STRESS MITIGATION
INCREASED FLOWERS & PODS
Additional branching leads to more flowers and pods. With proper moisture and fertility this leads to higher yield.
KEY BENEFITS
•More branching per plant
APPLICATION METHODS/RATE
Specific strains of microbes within Soyfx modulate pH throughout the day reducing plant stress and ethylene production.
•Increase in flowers & pods
•Increased nodulation
•Reduce plant stress
•Aids in hail damage recovery
ADDITIONAL BRANCHING
Specially identified microbes within Soyfx activate the lower axillary buds encouraging the development of more branches. This attribute also aids in recovery after a hail event.

HOW NUTRIQUIRE WORKS WITHIN THE PLANT
INCREASE IN P & K AVAILABILITY
Nutriquire contains spore forming microbes that improve phosphorous and potassium availability through the creation of organic and inorganic acids. These organic and inorganic acids alter the pH locally allowing for the release of more phosphorous and potassium.
NITROGEN AVAILABILITY
Nutriquire converts soil N to plant available forms quicker allowing for less nutrient run off and improved plant availability.
EASY TO APPLY
With a wide range of application methods, Nutriquire can be applied in-furrow, foliar, side dressed, or fertigated for easy incorporation into any operation.
IMPROVED NUTRIENT UPTAKE
Overall plant nutrient efficiency, availability, and uptake is improved through the microbes found in Nutriquire as they aid in breaking soil bonds that typically make nutrients unavailable.
VERSATILITY
Nutriquire contains spore forming bacteria, meaning they are dormant, allowing for longer shelf life and versatility of application methods.

ICON KEY
Leafy Corn Silage Hybrids are bred to produce a high yield of digestible fiber and starch. Leafy’s extra leaves above the ear (eight or more) increase the leaf area index of the plant, allowing for more sugar production. These sugars are converted to starch in the ear. Leafy hybrids have flex-type ears and the extra leaves help to develop and fill those ears with starch. Leafy silage hybrids have 5-7% more starch digestibility than dual-purpose or grain hybrids.
Extra leaves also increase tonnage. A Leafy crop stands taller and fuller than non-Leafy hybrids. Leafy Corn Silage Hybrids must be planted at low populations of 28,000 - 30,000 plants per acre to realize their optimal yield, but because each plant produces more dry matter than a dual-purpose hybrid, you can achieve top yields with less seed.
Key Points:
• Strong agronomics
• High total plant yield
• Long harvest window
• High starch content
• Short storage period
• High fiber digestibility
• High starch digestibility
• Excellent feed quality
FLOURY LEAFY HYBRIDS
Floury Leafy Corn Silage Hybrids have a silage specific kernel type that behaves differently in the field, the chopper, the silo, and the rumen. They contain a naturally occurring recessive gene called opaque-1. In the farmer’s field, a segregation of kernel type is seen on the ear. Approximately 25% of the kernels on each ear have completely floury interiors. The other 75% of the kernel set is composed of normal Leafy type kernels. All kernels are selected to be large, soft, and slow drying so that they will fracture easily during chopping and cow chewing for maximum starch digestibility. Expect starch to be 10-12% more digestible. Floury Leafy Corn Silage Hybrids must be planted at low populations of 28,000 - 30,000 plants per acre to realize their optimal yield.
Featuring the same key points as Leafy Silage Hybrids PLUS:
• Long rumen retention
• High energy starch
• Ration-type adaptability
• High quality milk

MINIMIZE STRESS FROM ROOT TO SHOOT with
HOW IONFX WORKS WITHIN THE PLANT
HEAT & DROUGHT STRESS TOLERANCE
IONfx bacteria modulate the pH within the plant which helps keep the internal temperature cooler throughout the course of the day. This mechanism allows the plant to operate longer throughout the day.
RESIDUE MANAGEMENT
IONfx bacteria accelerate digestion and softening of plant tissue post harvest for improved residue management and potential nutrient availability.
ROOT DEVELOPMENT
Enhanced root system allowing for more efficient nutrient & water uptake.
PLANT GROWTH REGULATOR RESPONSE
Bacteria found in IONfx stimulate and create:
• Cell division
• Larger leaves
• Thicker stalks
• Larger ear set
INCREASED EAR SIZE & IMPROVED EAR FILL
Bacteria within IONfx will promote plant growth regulators that allow the plant to set a larger ear at the V5 stage.
DEVELOPMENT OF SECONDARY BRACE ROOTS
IONfx encourages the development of secondary brace roots. This attribute provides increased access to water and soil nutrition and improves standability.
KEY BENEFITS
• Heat & drought stress mitigation
• Plant growth regulator response
• Increased ear size and improved ear fill
• Residue management

ALFALFA
Legend Seeds offers seven alfalfa choices to support your goals and operation needs.
These varieties range from high quality traited alfalfa packages to conventional blend options.
PRODUCTS
• HarvXtra® Alfalfa contains industry leading genetic enhancements that reduce the lignin content and increase forage quality. This allows flexibility to harvest at the regular interval and get very high quality forage or delay harvest to increase yield and get similar quality as a conventional alfalfa at an earlier growth stage. Research shows that cutting HarvXtra® 7 to 10 days later than conventional alfalfa provides similar quality.
• Roundup Ready® Alfalfa What if you could harvest new seeding alfalfa with no herbicide stunting and get dairy quality forage? That is the reality this technology offers - easy weed control management, excellent crop safety, and higher-percentage of pure alfalfa hay.
Steps to successful ALFALFA SEEDING
SITE SELECTION:
• Alfalfa does best on well-drained deep soils
• Avoid hilltops, shallow and highly eroded soils, and fields with low spots where water is known to pool
• Following alfalfa in the rotation with newly seeded alfalfa is not advisable due to autotoxicity
SEEDBED PREPARATION
• Provide a proper seedbed with firm ground & small clods. Preferably roll the ground before and/or after planting
• Good seed–to–soil contact is essential for uniform emergence
SEEDING RATE:
• 12-20 lbs. pure live seed (PLS) per acre
SEEDING DEPTH:
• Heavy soils – ¼ to ½”
• Sandy soils – ½ to ¾”
SOIL FERTILITY AND pH
• A soil test should be done prior to field preparation to determine the fertility needs
• Fertility management ensures good stands and vigorous growth
o Soil pH is extremely important in establishing alfalfa and in high production acres
o Maintain soil pH between 6.7 and 6.9 since soil nutrients are most available within this range
o Phosphorus is critical to healthy root development and stand establishment

SUNFLOWERS
What type of sunflower is right for your operation?
Sunflowers are a unique crop that give growers the opportunity to sell in several different markets. But what hybrid is right for your operation? Whether it is high oleic, NuSun®, conoil, or confection, Nuseed has locally bred hybrids developed to perform in your field.
KEY CHARACTERISTICS
• Markets may be one of the first factors in determining what hybrid is right for your farm. Whether it be a high oleic or a NuSun® hybrid for the crush or bird food market; a conoil hybrid for the dehull market; or a confection hybrid for the in-shell market, Nuseed has a hybrid to meet your buyer’s specifications.
• Herbicide Tolerance is important to consider when planning for your in-season weed control options and crop rotations. Nuseed offers hybrids with Clearfield®, Clearfield® Plus, or ExpressSun® herbicide traits.
• Disease Resistance, including protection against multiple races of downy mildew, improved late season plant health and product quality.
• Root/Stalk Ratings help a grower to understand the strength of a hybrid’s roots and stalks throughout the growing season. Stalk strength can also be a factor in late season plant health. We provide hybrids that have been thoroughly tested in the United States to stand tall through the harshest of environments.
• Oil Content can be an important factor when choosing a sunflower hybrid depending on which market the sunflowers are being sold into. The oil crush market wants a higher oil content, but a hybrid being sold into the dehull market is less concerned.
• Test Weight in sunflowers can be important depending on which processor is taking the seed. Most bird food markets, for example, want a higher test weight.

HIGH OLEIC SUNFLOWERS
HIGH OLEIC SUNFLOWERS
High oleic seed was developed through traditional breeding methods to deliver higher levels of mono-unsaturated fats (oleic content) than traditional oil sunflower seeds. High oleic sunflower oil has a longer, more stable shelf-life, neutral taste profile, and heart healthy benefits that make it attractive for commercial cooking applications. A typical fatty acid ratio for high oleic oil is greater than 82% oleic acid, with some hybrids producing as much as 90% oleic acid.

CONOIL (DEHULL) SUNFLOWERS
A conoil sunflower seed is a cross between an oilseed and a confection. Conoils are the most versatile of sunflower seed types and offer opportunities across multiple markets including kernel, oil, and confection. Most production is sold into the kernel market where the seeds are mechanically hulled by a processor. This is more easily accomplished with dehull seeds as the shell is loosely attached to the meat and readily separates. The largest consumption of dehull seed comes from wholesalers, bakeries, and sunbutter manufacturers.
Badger DMR
• Conoil, Beyond® herbicide tolerant
• High yield is matched with high test weight
• Excellent hullability and meat-to-hull ratio
• Striped seed for hulling
• Resistant to multiple races of downy mildew
CONFECTION SUNFLOWERS
In the U.S., confection sunflower production is divided into three markets by the size of the seed grown. The largest of the seeds are sold in the shell. These are the familiar snacking seeds in a heavy black shell with a characteristic white stripe. They are generally over half an inch in length with half their weight coming from the kernel. The medium-sized seeds are mechanically hulled by the processor and sold into the kernel market. They can be sold raw, roasted as a snack, or used as an ingredient. The smallest of the sunflower seeds are used in the bird feed and pet food markets.
