With something for all abilities and ages, our camps for younger age groups provide a great introduction to rugby. Camps for older children are a great way to develop skills and understanding of the game.
As well as superior coaching, our Tag, Core and Girls camps include a rugby ball, camp t-shirt and FREE junior ticket to an allocate home game, with Development camps receiving an exclusive Tigers Tech tee and FREE junior ticket to an allocated home game.

Players – What can you expect at a TAG Rugby Camp?
TAG Rugby is open to all players in the age category, boys and girls play TAG together.
It’s lots of fun, action packed and a great chance to meet new friends and be active. TAG Rugby is a fantastic introduction to the game of rugby and really helps increase fitness due to its fast pace. It’s a fun, fast-moving, non-contact game, ideal for all children.
The Leicester Tigers TAG camp not only focuses on playing the game, it also includes fitness, agility and the general etiquette of the game of rugby.

Who goes on TAG Rugby Camps?
TAG camps attract boys and girls from all walks of life, some have tried TAG before and some are new to rugby.
TAG camps are open to players in the current season U7s and U8s age groups, current school years 2 and 3.

Players – What can you expect at a Core Rugby Camp?
Our most popular rugby camps are our full day camps running over four or five days. Included in the camps are 4 hours of activities and coaching under the guidance of Leicester Tigers each day, a focus on fitness and rugby skills as well as the chance to improve fundamental fitness over the course of the week.
From U9s and above, we begin to introduce young players to the contact-based games and technical skill breakdowns within managed sessions, that we believe are important for each player to develop their own awareness, understanding and decision making abilities.

DEVELOPMENT CAMPS
Players – What can you expect at a DEVELOPMENT Rugby Camp?
A new addition to Tigers Rugby Camps for those in the U14s to U16s, development camps provide a more focused offering to these age groups.
Taking place over three afternoon sessions, the development camps are built around the core principles of the Tigers Junior Academy and Leicester Tigers rugby programme at SMB –Brooksby Melton College.
Working with senior community coaches, sessions will focus on developing core rugby skills, movement patterns and game-based scenarios.

Development camps are for boys from all walks of life, some have tried development before and some are new to rugby.

GIRLS CAMPS
Players – What can you expect at a GIRLS Rugby Camp?
Girl’s camps are suitable for those in the U13s to U18s age groups, and cater to all levels of experience and ability.
With the growth of women’s and girls’ rugby throughout the region crucial to Leicester Tigers vision, the launch of this camp provides the opportunity for girls of all levels of rugby experience to enhance their skills.
Girl’s camps consist of two full days focusing on the development of core rugby skills and cater to all levels of experience and ability. Girls will get the chance to work with experienced community coaches and enjoy a fun and engaging Tigers Rugby camp experience alongside their peers

Who goes on your rugby camp?
Rugby camps attract boys and girls from all walks of life, some with playing experience, some have never played.
What time should I drop off/pick up my child?
Tag – 9:30am – 12:30pm
Core – 9:30am – 3:30pm
Development – 1pm – 3:30pm
Girls – 9:30am – 3:30pm
Please ensure your child is handed over and registered to one of our coaches at the camp, before you leave. Our coaches do not take responsibility for children outside of these areas.
What should my child wear?
Rugby kit, including waterproofs and a change of kit, gum shield, trainers and boots.
What about safety?
Your child’s welfare, and safeguarding are at the forefront of the camps delivery. You can be assured your child is in capable hands, all of our coaches are DBS cleared. There is also a sign in and sign out system, no child can leave the camp without being signed out by a parent or previously agreed adult.
What about First Aid and Welfare?
Safety is our top priority and all of our camps have designated first aiders who are present throughout the day.
Parents are requested to provide relevant medical history or details regarding any previous injuries upon booking to ensure our first aiders are as best informed as possible. We also have a dedicated welfare officer at each camp to ensure the maintained at the highest level.
What about a FREE junior match ticket?
Look out for your email following your camp which will contain details about your free junior allocated ticket.
Will you provide lunch for my child?
Lunch is not provided on Tigers rugby camps. Please ensure your child brings a packed lunch and healthy snacks each day.
Will you provide drinks and snacks?
Water to be provided to refill water bottles. Children
bring their own healthy snacks and other drinks.
