What we can do for you
Give you a one-to-one basic library induction as well as the one organised by your lecturer.
Give you an introduction to the e-library. (Information skills including research, evaluating and referencing are delivered by the library as a mandatory part of your first year’s study and will be arranged by your tutor).
On request, provide you with additional course related books/journal articles through our inter library loans service. Provide a dedicated HE study room in each campus library.
Arrange access to other libraries which are part of ‘CULN’ (Colleges – University of Leicester Network) and access to DMU library for those not on a validated DMU course.
What you can do Ask us for one-to-one library support. You can book a computer in advance to use at times specified by you. Phone or email us with any library queries. (see overleaf for numbers and email address). Suggest course related resources for us to add to our stock. Any concerns raised by you about the library
service or resources are fed back to us via the student representative system and your Student Ambassador.
