Leighton Park Co-curricular Programme Summer Term 2018

Contents and Ethos Co-Curriculum Ethos At Leighton Park, we aim to provide an enriching environment for all students and staff and to offer a wide range of creative and cultural activity, recreation and sport, so that the talents of each individual may be recognised. At the core of all our activities, including the co-curricular programme, are the Quaker values and testimonies; respect, equality, integrity, sustainability, truth, peace and simplicity. These values drive our co-curriculum inspired by the students’ interests and passions. It’s what makes our students stand out from the crowd and it helps give them the confidence and ability to excel professionally and personally. There is overwhelming evidence that students who involve themselves in the co-curriculum often find that they excel in their academic studies. Students participate in a wide variety of activities and can select different options each term. Their choices encourage learning and participation in Creativity, Activity and Service opportunities also promotes Leadership Skills. Co-curricular activities are all about balance and with so many on offer there is certainly never an excuse to be bored!
