Scope 3 by category
In 2023, our Scope 3 emissions was 186,968 tons CO2e, representing over 99% of LEMAN’s total emissions across all three scopes.
Our most significant category in Scope 3 is Category 4: Upstream transportation & distribution. Our Environment and Climate Change Policy details our commitment to reduce our carbon footprint in this category through our offering of eco transportation solutions.
In our pursuit to reduce our operational impact on the climate, we not only measure our own environmental footprint, but also provide the same level of transparency to our customers.
Through our customer platform yourLEMAN, customers can now easily view the CO₂e emissions for each of their shipments with us, offered at no additional cost, aligning with our shared commitment.
We understand our customers’ scope 3 emissions often contribute to over 85*% of their overall emissions. Through our eco transport solutions, we offer customer an easy way to reduce their Scope 3 emissions (3.4 - Upstream Transportation & Distribution).
