UWP Luxe, a division of Up With Paper, is a boutique line of pop-up greeting cards and stationery. All the design concepts originate among a small but devoted studio of designers located across the pond in New Haven, Connecticut.

The company’s story began in 1978, when a stage designer translated his set concepts into miniature paper formats to share with prospective clients. Charmed with the results, he moved away from theatre and instead began what is known today as Up With Paper. While the first release consisted of six painstakingly designed cards per year, advancements have allowed Up With Paper and now also UWP Luxe to release multiple categories of cards per season - but the original fondness for paper and attention to craft remain.

UWP Luxe came from Up With Paper’s desire to collaborate with today’s most respected artists to create curated paper goods for an elevated market. The illustrators, designers, and paper engineers are all selected for their inimitable work. The brand brings two-dimensional art into the three-dimensional realm with elements of curiosity and surprise. Each of UWP Luxe’s pop-up greeting cards and stationery products are unique - carefully crafted with stunning artwork, thoughtful details, and heartfelt copy. Their designs span a wide range of themes, but their creative studio constantly challenges itself to create designs that stand apart from the rest.

As communication becomes increasingly digital, pop-up greeting cards are becoming more treasured for their tactile sending quality. UWP Luxe has found that the 3D card market is flourishing more than ever as there is a growing appreciation for novelty ephemera.
