OF LAKE SHORE The Boys and Girls Club of Lake Shore opened its doors in 2011. To date the club has served over 300 children in the Evans-Brant communities, with an annual membership of about 160 members

The Boys & Girls Club of Lake Shore is a non-forprofit organization that will provide diversified activities that meet the interests of all youth.

Purchase supplies/materials for the Club (Look for our wish list on the website!)

The club assures that all youth can afford to belong. Membership dues are kept low, so all young people can afford to join.

CORE PROGRAMS

WHY JOIN BOYS AND GIRLS CLUB OF LAKE SHORE?

Boys & Girls Club of Lake Shore has a lineup of tested and proven nationally recognized programs that address today’s most pressing youth issues, teaching young people the skills they need to succeed in life.

The Club emphasizes positive values in the relationships members have with each other and with adult leaders. It helps young people make appropriate choices in their physical, educational, personal, social, emotional and vocational lives.

Our club offers diverse program activities in 5 areas.

Anyone between the ages of 7 and 18 (2nd through 12th grade) can join the Club. Please stop in or view the club website for member fees. Scholarships are available.

Character & Leadership Program include: Torch Club. Empower youth to become global citizens who support and influence their club and community, develop a positive self image and good character.

Education & Career Programs include: Junior Staff, Power Hour, Project Learn. Enable youth to become proficient in basic educational disciplines, set goals, explore careers and prepare for employment.

Health & Life Skills Programs include: Triple Play and Healthy habits. Develop young people’s capacity to engage in positive behaviors that nurture their own well being, set personal goals and live successfully as self-sufficient adults.

Sports, Fitness & Recreation Programs include: Sports Club, Social Recreation, Tournaments and Daily Challenge. Develop Fitness, positive use of leisure time and social skills.

The Arts

These programs encourage youth to develop their creativity and appreciation of all forms of art.

WHO CAN JOIN?

WHEN CAN I GO? The Club is open everyday after school until 6:30pm and during special summer hours.

HOW DO I JOIN? Stop by the Club and meet our staff. We’ll be happy to give you a tour or assist you in completing a membership form.

HOURS OF OPERATION

During the School Year Monday-Friday 2:30-6:30pm

*Summer hours are designated each year. The Boys and Girls of Lake Shore follows the Lake Shore Central School District’s calendar. When the school is closed for inclement weather or other reason, the Club is closed in conjunction. When after school activities are cancelled the Club will remain open unless otherwise advised. COSTS Grades 2-8 Grades 9-12

$100/year FREE

*Limited Scholarships are available, Extended hours, special events & field trips are not included in membership fees.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Staff to member ratio: 1:20 Transportation: Transportation to the Club is available through the Lake Shore Central School District’s transportation department. A bus will transport members from their schools to the Club. Members may also walk to the Club from school. Dismissal from the Club: Parents/Guardians may pick up their children from the Club at any time. It is the Club’s policy that no member under grade 6 may leave the Club without parent permission. Medical Care: There will be a minimum of one Youth Development Professional certified in First Aid and CPR on premise at all times. Immediate care will be referenced to 911.
