INTRODUCTION The site is located near the center of Brno. It is a neighbourhood, where German community built residential brick houses in the 19th century. These houses still make ‘genius loci’ of this place. Nowadays a large Roma community lives there. Cejl is a densely built-up city quarter, where the block structure is followed, but it has hardly any public space wider than a street. A small ‘piazzeta’ is located 300 meters further on the street Bratislavska and serves as public parking. Planning area includes the missing part of the urban block defined by the streets of Bratislavska and Old, which now serves as a parking lot for police force. In front of the plot is Joy Puppet Theatre.

CONCEPT The analysis showed that the major problems of the neighborhood are: lack of public space, streets crowded by parked cars and population structure, in which there is a high number of problematic individuals. I decided to create public space, which will be used by people and will communicate with the theater. In historical buildings, there are are mainly large flats which are often, for financial reasons, remanufactured into smaller units. Therefore, I decided to create smaller - starter flats for young people, who often desire to live on their own, but large apartments can not afford. To improve public space, I propose to plant trees into streets and canceled parking spaces move to an underground garage. 9

The building follows the edge of other buildings. Last receding floor covers gable. Compliance with a contour level leaves dominant function to the tower of opposite building. Mass is divided into two parts in 2nd floor. It optically interconnects events on the square with life in the inner block. 10

INTRODUCTION Brno south - a part of the city, in which a new developement is being expected. Firstly, we designed new city quarter in group and then we focused individually on two types of houses - a house in row of block structure and a corner house. We tryed to select houses close each other so that we could demostrate their interaction. Urban model is inspirated by new city quarters Yjburg and Borneo in Amsterdam, NL. This project demostates that block is really good model for urban living and if it is formed by different hoses it never gets boaring. For this portfolio I have chosen just one of them the one in row.

CONCEPT The main idea of the house is atrium, which interconnects and illuminates entire house. The first floor is a social part of the house. This idea is supported by a great wooden front door. It really welcomes the visitors. Behind the atrium opens up a big social space over two floors. Open-plan emphasizes the importance of social space as a meeting place in the house. As it is a place for meetings and interviews there may not miss a massive, large dining table and comfortable seating around the fireplace. Going up we move into the private part of the house. Disposition closes. The third floor is dedicated to children and rest. There is a small sauna and a terrace with a whirlpool, from which owners can enjoy the beauty panorama of Brno.

INTRODUCTION Addressed parcel is located in center of Rajhrad - village near Brno. It belongs to Benedictine monks. A winemaker who takes care of it wants to extend his production. The monks want to build up new accomodation for pilgrims, because there are many of them coming to the old monastery. There are also old wine cellars which could be used for turism as well.

CONCEPT Pilgrims wander and form community. It does not matter whether it is an organized community from their home parish, or whether it was created on the spot. Therefore, I decided to create smaller rooms that can be hired individually. Wooden construction is divided into two parts, in the south part there is shared kitchen with large tables, benches and terrace in 1.NP and with the living room in 2.NP. The apartments are all oriented to the west garden. The orchard is planted with different kinds of fruit trees. Thanks to that there is fresh fruit during all summer.

This project consists of a group of simple floating irelands. Each of them is designed with another activity, as jumping into the sea, climbing a net, sunbathing in a hammock... The pirate fleet has to be placed about 50 m from the coast so that people must swim to get on it. All the irelands will move from one part of the beach to another once a week during all summer season.
We made a prototype of an ireland dedicated to jumping into the sea. As the sea is still very cold we haven’t been able to make a happening yet. 48

We decided to place the art centre in the main square in Prague and so, finish this empty place in the square. We propose to connect the new building with the old tawn hall through a bridge behind big panel which will inform about actual cultural events in Prague.
