Clients
Freshly married couple without children British origins, called Oliver and Gracie Living in New York, Tribeca Met during their studies in University in London Both grew up in the UK, Oliver in London and Gracie in the countryside Both scientists, decided to move to New York to start a new life after marriage Oliver is a geologist and Gracie is working as a researcher in a renewable energy company Living in an eco friendly but super trendy environment is really important for them Oliver grew up in the outskirts of London where his family owned several factories, he used to go there when he was a child and since then industrial style objects/interiors recalls the feeling of home and childhood, he would like his new home in the heart of New York to remind him of it Gracie grew up on a farm with animals and plants Somehow they want to combine those two styles and keep their home economical, efficient and eco-‐friendly Both love to read and own big collection of books

Mix of industrial and rustic style Clean, simple, economical and efficient Organic materials and colors Solar panels, wood fireplace, vertical wall garden
Materials
Glass, wood, metal, bricks, natural materials Using -‐ Iron columns -‐ Iron staircase with books on both sides -‐ vertical garden in the living room or outside on terrace -‐ using green energy (solar panels, wood fireplace etc.)

The library stairways
Floor plan based on big library on both sides of the stairways dividing the space and separating the entrance part from the living part. ‘Wall library’ following the ‘stair library’ all the way to the window. Entrance in the middle of library to make home office and dining room easy to access from the main entrance, bathroom and guest room.
