The programs offered at Lenoir Community College include various trainings that prepare students for competitive employment in the transportation and related industries. The CDL and truck driving courses are designed to meet the training requirements set by the NC Department of Transportation and the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSRs) to operate commercial vehicles, obtain commercial driver licenses and other endorsements associated with this field. The automotive courses prepare students with essential knowledge and skills to work in areas such as vehicle inspections, maintenance and repairs. It also prepares students with the necessary skills and techniques to work as auto body collision repair technicians. This is a growing program that will continue developing new ways to bring competitive skills to our students.
