Lobby as Brewery is a concept with homage to “lobby socializing” coined by the Ian Schräger in the 1980’s in New York City. The venue blurs the borders between the classic understanding of lobbies and restaurants and creates a unique customer experience upon entering the hotel. The design concept is based on a 17th century industrial-chic brewery.

The light show : A design museratory to experience the light in conjuntion with Artemide Suspending time is a very powerful idea that we try to implement in our design. Moreover we choose 5 suspended lamps from Artemide to create a light pavilion that will give the visitor the opportunity to understand the effects of the light of each lamp. In order to start our design of this space, we begin to explore and understand the connection between this lamps and by experimenting with them we found that they are all diffuse lights. A diffuse light gives a very interesting effect to an interior space affecting the floor, wall and ceiling in a different way. Moreover we want to show this different effects in our interior space. We started to design a capsule that will represent the idea of holding time inside to give an experience to the visitor. Inside the capsule we design different angles in order to understand 4 effects that the light can five: details, color, reflection and shadows. So we created a railing in the ceiling, where the 5 lamps will move around showing this 4 effects. The visitor will have the possibility to understand this effects by measuring the light with an electronic device we created that has an application that works as a lux meter and that will provide numerical and graphic results. This results will be send to the visitors email in order to have a memory of this experience. The movement of the lamps around the space will give the visitor this sort of timeless experience, and the diverse surfaces inside will make the visitor understand the difference between each lamp.

DO NOT DISTURB : designing the new luxury hospitality in conjuntion with Viscardi Hotel.
The concept of the Viewpoint comes from seeing conventional things in different ways, i.e., having a new perspective for things which are perceived to be very usual and ordinary. The spaces in the interiors have been conceived by exploring possibilities of newer angles of vision. In the roofotop, an additional advantage of the hotel’s location adds to the concept as one is able to take advantage of the views of the city from the hotel rooftop as well.

take me there : coffee space for new cultureal riences in conjuntion with WEGA Thai Cups Coffee Talks in Thailand – Another Coffee Story Our design concept has evolved from the rich culture of Thailand, from the street food, to the colors and textures of the elements indigenous to this beautiful country. The design direction is to convey the feeling of being in a street food mecca but refining the elements to create a more global representation. The plan has a detached layout which embodies flexible kiosks. The setting created are modular spaces where one could experience Thai coffee in any contemporary setting where openness and movability is assimilated in the ambience of the project. The design of the plan is divided to three kiosks. The first module is where the staff will take your order and prepare the drinks you order; on the second cell to the left is a space provided for fast coffee – one can consume the coffee while standing up at the same time a space where you can order mini snacks such as the patonggo in the morning and the desserts offered after lunch. The third module to the right is a cell that offer a more comfortable seating where one could sit a while and relax while consuming the coffee and the desserts ordered. We used wood veneers for the base of the main counter with random waves that radiates a movement that signifies the textures of the local weaves synonymous to Thailand. The weaving on the wall using colored plastic strips embodies the fusion of contemporary and traditonal use of homogenous materials in visualizing a new concept. The design generates openness as air could flow through the weaving of the plastics and the metal screens. The walls of the two modules are designed in a way it opens to create a covered space for additional seating spaces at the same time additional counter spaces for tables – the intention is to epitomize the street food mecca.

19 THE ONLY SON The Emquartier ,Bangkok,Thailand
The Only Son collection is a reflection of minimalism and utilitarian wear for urban modernist, which draws upon youth subculture for and energy and expression of identity, without losing the poetic notion. Our focus is on contemporary masculinity and femininity, an appeal that shows no boundaries of choices. Where cultural crossing sensibility is evident, construction and technique resemble future, meets with tradition based on classic items. The Only Son jewellery collection represents masculinity and street. Whilst appearing tough in their graphically structure and high contrast finishing, the pieces still have refined intricate details that reflect the philosophy behind the concept each season. The Only Son made its debut in Autumn/Winter 2010, the creation of Au Ekbutr Udomphol, who acquired knowledge and training at well-respected fashion labels in Australia and New York. While studying fashion at Sydney Institute of Technology In 2002, he worked as a freelance designer for cult label Ksubi, before moving in 2004 to design for prominent Australian label Sass & Bide. He was then headhunted in 2007 by American label Imitation of Christ for a designer role. The experience has given Udomphol a unique combination of both creative and commercial sensibility. Returning to his native Thailand in 2009, Udomphol joined A-list Corporate Limited to launch The Only Son.fortable seating where one could sit a while and relax while consuming the coffee and the desserts ordered. We used wood veneers for the base of the main counter with random waves that radiates a movement that signifies the textures of the local weaves synonymous to Thailand. MELLOW BAR&BISTRO Bangkok,Thailand
Targeting Thonglor hipsters, Mellow is a casual, indoor-outdoor bistro featuring food & drinks, and live jazz. To achieve the feel of an artist’s studio-loft, the two-story structure was stripped down and exposed, and large industrial style windows were installed. The interiors were designed to achieve casual comfort, and the ability to present frequently changing art exhibitions. Both levels feature a distressed red brick wall and comfortable leather and natural wood furniture. The second floor features a large open-air balcony. After the success of the first Mellow restaurant on Thonglor, the owners set out to expand it’s brand to another location. Unlike its older sister’s design, Mellow Crystal Design Center has a more warm atmosphere and afternoon brunch setting with white brick walls and natural lighting, while keeping the design styling of natural wood furniture, exposed high ceiling with both indoor and outside dining.

31 TO B 1 SALON Bangkok,Thailand
Schwarzkopf asked Whitespace to create a new concept salon that embodies the green ethic of ‘Essensity®’, their new eco-friendly line of professional hair products. Our designers saw this as an exciting opportunity for creative expression– from the dramatic zig-zag ceiling that helps reduce the volume of air to be cooled by air conditioning and which helps reflect daylight into the space, to the recycled rear-view mirror sculpture enjoyed by clients receiving their shampoo treatment, we demonstrate that green doesn’t mean compromising design– precisely on brand with the Essensity
