Introduction I do not want to start your portfolio by introducing the words to convey the stereotype as what I 've been reading the documentation and how to arrange them to perfection. I started my photography inspired by emotions and when I started writing , I wanted to express feelings and moods through my photos I ever recorded .
Inspiration I love the work of a photographer for over 3 years now and since I've been known to Henri Cartier - Bresson throughout the course , he gave me a lot of inspiration for the photo later . Henri Cartier - Bresson (1908 - 2004) was a French photographer can be considered to be the father of photojournalism . He began to work with a seasoned 35mm lens and soon became masters of the genre Candid photography . He played an important role in helping to develop street photography and great influence to the street photographer later
Cartier - Bresson 's style is to record moments of human nature over time , and the period of their feelings in that moment . His photographs reflect people in each place he went through and what their true feelings . He did not arrange or layout elements to create the beauty of the photograph , which shows the natural beauty of it through the eyes and lens of a photographer . Through Bresson captured images , the viewer can see life and people in that place , then their emotions , as well as the changes are happening , things are never perfect in the art ordering
Emotions Inspired by the true to life in each of Bresson photograph which I also created a series tells the story of where I was born and raised in Saigon , urban dream . During this special period , when nearly a year coming to an end , things are changing and people pull together to enjoy the holiday season time , Saigon up with different emotions in each light eye , viewing angles and different people . It creates a picture of diversity and synthesis of many different things and contrasting . People feel happy in the smiles and the joy of the family but also exist people tired to enjoy the holiday with work and wandering around the streets crowded but cold
Technology I spent many days wandering the streets and try to score as much as possible the emotions of people around. I try not to pay attention to be able to take pictures of the most genuine and natural. I use the Tamron 17-50mm f2.8 lens for most shots (easily customized) and I've also tried 1 times as risky as Bresson only use 50mm single lens fix to capture. It causes so many problems for me when no customizable parameters and shooting wide but bring images and impressive moment as the viewer's eye into the scene that so.
I took the photos in the afternoon and evening so I always use f/2.8 in order to bring optimum light for photos . In some cases I used f/1.8 to autofocus quickly and focus on character . I absolutely do not use flash to avoid the attention of people and based on iso and fstop as well as to enhance the image of light . It's hard when shooting night but you can not use flash for the camera to focus in some difficult cases , and I had to start manually instead focus automatically . I use auto iso to easily change and capture images quickly . I always use high speed from 1/80 - 1/100 or even 1/1600 to ensure capture moments happen . High speed makes the picture dark and not easy in the editing process but lucky to be fixed f/2.8 and it makes everything more stable
