Leonor Côrte-Real Magalhães was born on March 28th of 1989 in Porto, Portugal. At high school decides to pursue interior design, and is admitted in Escola Superior de Artes e Design in Matosinhos (ESAD), in 2007, where she took her bachelor as well as his master in Interior Design in December, 2013. Her master thesis was develloped with the mentorship of the Architect Desirée Pedro from Atelier do

Corvo and also with Maria Milano, Architect and Interior Design’s bachelor Director at ESAD. This thesis treated about Micro Architecture. Also during her master took an internship in Osvaldo Matos SA. One of the biggest Lights for Architecture’s Portuguese company. During her academic process she has participated in several competitions and workshops from Interior Design, Retail Design, Product Design and Architecture. She is passionate about architecture and Design, Arts in general, besides cinema and travelling. She uses to say that, Travelling is the best way of knowledge.

As a first step of the workshop “Morfologias Analógicas” was selected a seabed image of a jelly fish. So our concept emerged. From the winding and dynamic forms created when this animal moves, simulating a dance, in which the animal’s body turns every movement, emerges our work module, as well as the effects of light and shadow created by the body of the jelly fish. The proposal was, starting from a simple shape and soft (foam sheet) square, make a metamorphic element attached to similar and different ways arise. There is now an endless loop allowing multiple results. By working shape and motion as its main motivation, we have created a rich, diverse mesh as if it was a simulation of a dance in the water. Creating a dynamic and metamorphic structure, playing with light, shadow and depth. This resembles to many existing spontaneous forms in nature. This workshop, from the diverse and appealing results that originated, had their achievement moving then to these primary building blocks of architectural shapes structures, using the computer program Rhinoceros.

Key -Words elegant natural ecological sustainable As part of a partnership between Esad and atelier Pereira Miguel Arquitectos, arises the workshop titled Espaços Comerciais - Commercial Spaces; aiming to simultaneously create a commercial space, and a new product for a reputed brand. The brand we were assigned was evian, a something feminine brand, which calls the cult of the body and well-being and youth. The challenge was to create a commercial space to promote this new product at specialty fairs - in case a stand, whose requirements were having a tasting and evidence area, as well as assisted selling area. The concept arises from the association of this young brand of luxury and nature to simplicity. Here comes the idea of the ice, as pure and simple, natural element which can take various forms and languages. The different degrees of transparency of this “material” element have several possible features exploring.

The Product Having the existing hollow in the rocks of ice, and behold, comes the shape of a new bottle line - ice drop. This aims to conferi a related concepts of freshness and lightness picture. The creation of the logo also attempts to represent this same image in our proposal for this line of bottled water. The idea of this product is to create a line of waters always fresh, able to preserve this same freshness, containing in his interior, a small deposit in drop form, to keep the coolant water always fresh. The Space (Stand) The Showroom - a stand - translates the concept of this water line, trying to play it cool and icy language. Then comes a space that through using materials - glass and acrylic - and the plasticity of the shape of the walls that enclose the space. Light has an important role to give highlight and accentuate brightness games and transparency of this same material. The environment here achieved becomes fresh and natural, with elegant shapes with large plastic and visual richness, almost as if it was like a crystal room.
