From beginning to end Cassandra was amazing. Just from the initial call I knew hiring her for my mother and grand mothers double wedding was the right thing to do. Her professionalism was on point she made sure to answer all questions I had in detail over the phone. The actual make up consultation she was nice and polite and even though she was getting double teamed with questions from my mom and super diva grand mom she kept her cool. I was scared my grand mom was gonna scare her away. If she can deal with that diva she can deal with ANYBODY!! Lol. The actual day of the wedding she was right on time did everybody’s make up with ease. I opted for a natural look for everyone and it was better than I ever imagined. By my own mistake my count for girls were off that needed make up done. She was able to fit the additional girl in and still left us with extra time to get dressed. I recently got married at The Inn St Johns in Plymouth where my reception was held in the atrium room. That room is absolutely stunning on its own so I wanted to keep things classic but with a touch of glam. Prior to meeting Amber I had a complete vision of what I wanted my wedding to look like. Nik Renee’ Cole is a classically trained chef. She has worked in the restaurant industry since
2004. Making a decision to sharpen her knowledge and to become a well-rounded, culinarian she took baking classes at the Art Institute of Baking in Manhattan, Kansas and enrolled in culinary school. While studying at the Art Institute of Novi, MI she determined that her path in the industry would be one that she created on her own.
Working in country clubs for many years gave her valuable industry knowledge. It also gave
her the opportunity to cater to a niche market. From there she began to build a small business based on her knowledge of food, love for fresh ingredients and a specific void in the industry.
Fork + Knife & Food was created to provide an array of fresh, ready to eat meals so that
clients could meet specific lifestyle goals and at the same time, adhere to specific dietary needs that may be impacted by culture, religion, and health concerns. In 2014, she went full time with Fork + Knife & Food after leaving the University of Michigan working as a chef. In a short amount of time, she has been able to grow Fork, Knife & Food into a full personal chef business catering to both small and large functions and collaborate on many projects including Bite This, a new pop up restaurant.

What started out as a temporary solution for not having my Kitchen completed when we moved into our new house, became a way of life. I tried to be a traditional wife when I first got married but buy the time I get home at 7:30 or 8 it’s just too late to cook. So when we moved into our new house and the kitchen was not ready yet we did not see it as a big deal as I was not fond of cooking anyway so we ate a lot of fast food. The first week we got our meals I could not believe how good they were and how happy I was (not thinking about what we were going to have for dinner). With this service I provide my kids with a variety of delicious home cooked meals that my lifestyle would otherwise not allow. I highly recommend this service especially for other nontraditional Mom’s like me that want to provide a delicious healthy home cooked meal for their kids but they just don’t have the time to prepare it. This is not some box meal all of the meals are prepared fresh. Traveling in promotional tours, singing in stage plays, styling high-end fashion shows & celebrities -- while attending high school & college -- all afforded DJ Rue the opportunity to grasp the shift in the fashion industry early on; catapulting her into fine-tuning her creative abilities with not only a focus on her craft, but with the foresight to extend herself into other genres with tireless momentum. Rue has graced the stages of The Dove Awards, Stellar Awards, Soul Train, & Bobby Jones Gospel! She has been a part of R&B/Pop girl groups, and has done professional studio work involving vocals & arrangements. While having musical gifts and fashion style; DJRue was drawn to the many expressions of Dance -- studying Jazz, Modern, Hip-Hop, and Ballet. This exposure gave her a different outlook on how to ‘feel’ music, and the array of options that music and fashion blended together could have on audiences around the world! Rue studied Fashion Merchandising at Wayne State University; and was given the opportunity to style and develop her own debut fashion show featuring a collection of vintage refurbished garments through the lens of modern day flare. Rue is frequently asked to feature her keen styling ability in Detroit fashion shows of Local Designers & Wardrobe Stylists -- bringing to the shows the uniqueness of her craft. DJRue now expands her God-given talents as an artist, innovator, and creator of unique sounds into mastering and mixing music. With a focus on integrating sounds of music that resonate unity, diversity and cultural expression.
