A large blue violet eye surrounded by a violet mascara band carries around the edge as a matching two tone picotee. Thick petals, strong recurrent blooming, and good disease tolerance contribute to excellent garden performance. Very good disease tolerance, cold hardy, fertile both ways. The clear near white base color boldly contrasts with a dark blue violet eye with a distinct red violet mascara band above a green throat; pattern is also prominent on the sepals. They do move, you know. Not much and not fast, but mountains will move as long as you never stop pushing. This captivating variety is a breeder’s delight as the deeply dominant blue-eye genes ads punch to all good crosses, while the white base cleans up dingier colors. Tackle new challenges for 130.

Very good disease tolerance, cold hardy, fertile both ways. A bright violet red base has a large indigo eye surrounded by a red violet mascara band above a green throat. This flower marks a significant turning point in the daunting task of crossing thoroughbred reds and blues to create a pleasant mix. It’s trickier than it sounds, at least in our experience. Neither line wants to give in, resulting in few offspring worth keeping. But that changed when these parents compromised to produce just the right colors and proportions to make the mix work. EYE FOR TALENT -- ((Higher Calling x Elite Stock) x (Scandal In Bohemia x If You Loved Me)) ht. 40�/100 cm, M, rebloom, 4 branches, 28 buds, 7�/18cm, ev, tetraploid. Average disease tolerance, cold hardy, fertile both ways. The clean salmon pink base has a green yellow throat with a pronounced scarlet eye that continues around the petals as a narrow picotee. Petals are thick, ruffled, big and wide with blooms borne on tall, branched scapes. Large fans produce multiple scapes during blooming season. Large, full form, ruffled blooms have green throats with a splash of red immediately surrounded by a dark magenta eye over a cranberry red base. Our earliest red ads bold color when it’s needed most. BURST INTO BLOOM -- (Go Above and Beyond x Blue Riviera) x True Calling. ht. 26�/75cm, M, rebloom, 3 branches, 21 buds, 5.5�/13cm, Sev, tetraploid. Very good disease tolerance, cold hardy, fertile both ways. The dark lavender flower has a yellow throat is surrounded by a large violet eye surrounded by a red violet mascara band. The two-tone eye is carried around the ruffled petal edge and surrounded by yellowish knobs for a triple-color edge. Nearly all of our new butterfly intros and breeding have green hearts and throats, but here we are reminded how well yellow and purple play together. These colors combined with the heavy flower substance and edge make this cultivar stand out from the rest. It can barely be contained for 160.

Very good disease tolerance, cold hardy, fertile both ways. The ivory flowers have a green throat and a red violet eye and matching picotee surrounded by a ruffled light yellow edge. This graceful cultivar combines many desirable characteristics, where near white backgrounds act as a clean canvas for pleasing color and texture. The heavily ruffled edges are punctuated by a bubbly chartreuse finish. This showy specimen has inherited good traits from good parents, sporting large and sophisticated blooms borne on great scapes combined with vigorous garden performance. Fully double creamy light yellow blooms have a scarlet eye and matching picotee which is replicated on the extra petals and petaloids. Consistently double, usually peony type, with occasional hose-in-hose blooms on recurrent and rebloom scapes.
