By taking a closer look at the journey of the Pafos2017 Organisation, the hundreds of cultural events held to this day, the hundreds of artists from Cyprus and abroad, we can clearly see the context and opportunities arising from this institution. Dozens of opportunities were given to our own artists to get to know and cocreate with other artists, so many opportunities for artists from abroad to get to know our homeland, to participate, exchange, inspire and co-create with locals. To feel and perceive, through their own work, diversity, wealth, diversification but also the openness and spirit ofacommonEuropeanidentity.

Myths and Sculptures, a new Sculpture Park is being created in Geroskipou by 10 sculptors from Cyprus, Armenia, Italy, China, Romania, Germany, Bulgaria and Sweden. Curated by Katerina Foukara , a part of the urban web of Geroskipou is being transformed into a core of culture in less than 15 days, with the help of volunteersfromJapan.TheexhibitionTerritories, where the Turkish Cypriot artist Asli Bolayir meets Christine Chiorboli from Corsica at Ibrahim's Khan for an exhibition on identity, roots and sense of belonging. Cassandre was not only a breathtaking performance by the Geneva Opera, but also an opportunity for 19

Many projects are brought to their completion or are presented during this month, focusing on the quintessence of the European dimension. Cypriot artists travel to Aarhus, the twin EuropeanCapitalofCulture.YiannosEconomou, Susan Vargas, Rinos Stefani, Ergenc Korkmazel and Daniella Mouyiannou will be presenting their work in Aarhus, where the second phase of a joint action/ exhibition titled "The Presence of Absence" will be held at the Moesgaard Museum. September's program consists of mobility, exchanges, influences and the prominence of issues of concern to people and societies throughout Europe. The Alien Trail, Magnum photographers from Cyprus, Greece, France and Belgium documented the frequently invisible life and stories of refugees and immigrants in Pafos and Cyprus, curated by NicolasIordanouandSylviaNicolaides.

In his speech Mr. Michalis D. Zavos, Chief Executive Director of the D. Zavos Group and DirectoroftheCypeirPropertiesLtd,referredto theimportanceoftheGovernment'sandthatof all other political parties contribution to the project, by boosting and reconstructing the Cypriot economy and by making accurate and immediate decisions. GEORGIADES: CYPRUS ECONOMY GOING THROUGH THIRD YEAR OF RECOVERY

Finance Minister Harris Georgiades has said that he is satisfied with the state of the economy, noting that the growth rate in 2017 would reach 3.5%. “The Cypriot economy has been through dramatically difficult conditions” said Georgiades adding that “ominous” projections had been proven wrong. “We stayed in the eurozone, we rendered the Troika unnecessary and we are in the third year of recovery,”hesaid.

Asked how the Cypriot economy was managed to recover, the ministersaidthatitwasaresultoftheeffortsoftheprivatesector.“A government can either support these efforts or undermine them” he added.

Property sales continue to grow (19%) for the ninth consecutive month in 2017 compared to the same period last year, both from the domestic and especially from overseas markets. During the first nine months of 2017, domestic sales contractshaverisenby12%andtotheoverseasmarketby42%comparedwith thesameperiodlastyear.

Г-н Пантелис Лептос, заместитель главы группы компаний Leptos и директор Cypeir Properties Ltd в своей речи сослался на то, что весь проект является абсолютно кипрской частной инициативой, особо отметив безупречное сотрудничество, установившееся между двумя группами компаний.
