It’s a masterpiece and the actors were so good! It was nominated for seven Academy Awards including Best Picture and received two Golden Globes awards.

A book randomly chosen at the bookstore which happened to be a great discovery, for people interested in post-apocalyptic worlds anyway. • Least favourite book-to-film adaptation: The adapation of The Sword of Truth by Terry Goodkind. It’s a series but they condensed about seven books into one season. It’s really mediocre and the casting was horrible.

I like the way the author creates a whole future history of the galaxy that spreads over millennia. • What you’re currently reading: Homo Deus by Yuval Noah Harari and Dracula by Bram Stoker. • The book you recommend to everyone: Nineteen-Eighty-Four by George Orwell. It’s a classic of Sci-Fi and it’s still a very possible future.

Gamer is a series for teens that appeals to both girls and boys. Alternating between scenes in the virtual world and scenes of everyday life, this series is already a great success and the first volume was selected for the prestigious Booksellers’ Prize of Quebec. About the author: Patrick Isabelle was born in the early eighties, so he grew up immersed in neon clothing and funky hairstyles. He saw The Karate Kid Part II in a drive-in theater. His life took a turn when he discovered Stephen King at the elderly age of 11 and made it his goal to become the first master of the horror genre in Québec. About the author: Thirty-year-old Joris Chamblain from Toulouse, who has been interested since early childhood in the world of comics, made the swift decision to turn his passion into his work. Nowadays, he devotes all his time to writing comics, children’s literature, and novels. His first comic book, Les Carnets de Cerise, soon became a bestseller. His other titles, all filled with tenderness and psychology (Enola et les animaux extraordinaires, Sorcières Sorcières, Nanny Mandy), have also found rapid success which make Joris Chamblain one of the most prominent authors of youth literature.
About the illustrator: In her early childhood, Lucile Thibaudier observed the world around her and began to write down the details, learning to represent them on paper. She was accepted at the school Émile Cohl de Lyon, finishing four years later with a mind full of ideas and drawings. For Sorcières Sorcières. About the author: Alcante, pen name of Didier Swysen, is a Belgian comics writer, best known for his series Pandora Box and Jason Brice. Alcante was studying economic sciences and doing academic research when he won a comics writing contest sponsored by the publisher Dupuis in 1995. The winning story was published in Spirou magazine. It took another seven years before he started publishing short stories there. He never stopped to write since then. He’s also the author of a spin-off album from the popular series XIII Mystery featuring Colonel Amos, with artwork by François Boucq.
About the illustrator: At the age of 15, Ludo Borecki enrolled at the Hainaut School of the Arts in Belgium. Upon finishing his studies, he entered the studio Peyo in 1994. There, he completed an internship under the watchful eye of Alain Maury, whom he helped with the drawing of the seventeenth album of Johan & Pirlouit, The Rose of the Sands. After having worked on the Smurf albums and having drawn about fifty short stories for the magazine Smurf, he worked with Pascal Garray to complete the drawing for album no. 21 Can’t smurf Progress, and signed the drawing of The Reporter Smurf, published in 2003.
