Stone in response to his inquiry of December 18, 1959, this vase entered the Sèvres salesroom and sold in April 1928.

Property from the Collection of Dawn Harrison, Stockton, Illinois Catalog note: Two other examples of this rare textile are included in the collections of the Victoria & Albert Museum (London) and the Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum (New York). As noted in the cataloging for the V&A example, the design of this textile was based on Sardinian embroideries from 1880-1920 woven in colored wools on linen.
