Eugene Culture
What is Eugene? Eugene: a community of cultures,
naturists, radicals, and diverse inhabitants all located near the Northwest Coast within Oregon. It is a habitat of hippies and hipsters, students, proud parents, creative artists, food connoisseurs, alternative life-stylists, and so much more. To define Eugene is to define a thriving and living city that is constantl y in motion. For Eugene is always in motion.
This book is designed to give you an insight to what it is to be a Eugenian. As the Emerald city continuousl y is discovered by those far and wide, what better way to dive head first into this serendipitous and candid culture then through the eyes of those who live here. With a ma jor emphasis on nature, discovering the curious culture that thrives in being a Eugenian can not easliy fit within the contents of this book. Challenges  and  the  Process This booklet took persistence to complete. It began with handing disposable cameras to fellow Eugenians, asking them to display their favorite part of their hometown. Relying on other people to follow guidelines is always a gamble, because some honor the process more than others. Cameras ended up lost, losing pictures that could have been documented. Once the remaining cameras were returned, we moved onto the next step. Developing the pictures was another struggle because we quickly realized only a few locations can process pictures in one day. With a tight time frame to complete the project due to lost cameras, we begged the technicians to rush the process in order to organize the pictures into this booklet. We stayed calm throughout the challenges and found comfort in the reliability of each other. We thank those who contributed their efforts in creating this compilation.
