Portfolio LESTER STEPHEN SILVEIRA Selected Works
HELLO. I’m Lester, an aspiring architect and a perfectionist. Every inch makes a difference A 60 centimetre projection in the wall to create a bay window may become the nook of inspiration for someone, who will then go on to achieve great things. These details help shape our lives, that’s the beauty of architecture. It’s all about context Our future must of course be based on a solid understanding of our respective culture. But Architecture must reinvent the expression of that culture – in todays materials and in the context of todays aspirations. Old is Gold I love all things old. The past has always fascinated me, and I wish I could travel back in time to get a glimpse of the (g)olden eras. This probably explains my special interest in the field of Architectural Conservation. Cleanliness is next to Godliness I pay a lot of attention to composition and presentation. I believe a truly great composition, whether on paper or in built form, can move people – just look at Corbusier’s Capitol Complex.
My heritage has been my grounding, and it has brought me peace. - Maureen O Hara
