Resumen: El presente texto tiene como objetivo principal analizar el carácter de la revista Barandal, en el conjunto de los proyectos editoriales del Grupo Taller durante la década de los años treinta. Este acercamiento permite desmitificar muchos argumentos alrededor de la publicación que se han repetido a lo largo de los años y que han impedido leer el verdadero talante que la revista ofreció en su momento, cuya relevancia radica en que Barandal fue el semillero de figuras literarias tan importantes como Octavio Paz. Abstract: The main objective of the present article is to analyze the editorial character of the Mexican magazine Barandal, as part of the literary projects that the Taller group developed during the 1930s. This approach allows to demystify some of the arguments usually repeated regarding the publication, same that have prevented the understanding of the real spirit of Barandal, whose relevance resides in the fact that Barandal was the hotbed of many literary figures as important as Octavio Paz.
