A STUNNING NEW BUILD OFFERING MODERN SIMPLICITY A STUNNING NEW BUILD OFFERING MODERN SIMPLICITY
When purchasing a new build, there is a air of excitement as a blank canvas is offered on a plate to homeowners. Freshly skimmed walls, neutral carpets and a sparkling new kitchen is a given. But what about style? A flair of character in a bland, blank space? This month we catch up with Georgia and Tom, both of who have nailed the new build style and injected their personality into their Redrow Home.

'Georgia and Tom live in their Redrow new build with their daughter Elsie. " We've always been interested in home decor and interior design, but it wasn't until our second property that we really got into it. Now we have a lot more space, we are able to really experiment."
Despite living in a blank canvas, Georgia and Tom have been able to inject a classic trend across their home with the use of careful, but clever additions.
"The design of our new build is actually based on a 1930s home. As much as we love our new build home, we do prefer old homes with plenty of character. So we try and strike a balance by introducing the older style and features into our new space. A easy way we have done this is by adding paneling into some of our space, including our hallway and bedroom".

Whilst Georgia and Tom have a brand new home, they still have plenty of projects to do to give their home more flair.
"Even though we have a new build, there is plenty for us to get on with. First point of call is to get rid of the almond white walls! We also have big plans to install a kitchen island too. I'm always looking on Instagram and Pinterest to find new, and exciting trends to incorporate into our own home. Our latest fav is monochrome. It's a easy style to incorporate especially in furniture".

Georgia and Tom have managed to create a home that could be easily bland, boring and common. New build homes can lack personality and character, and yet with the help of easy DIY and a gorgeous interior style, @inside_numberfive is a inspiration for all homeowners.
