THROUGH THE LETTERBOX OF @PAULS.AND.LEES.HOME
With the start of a new year, and a new decade, we have once again turned to some of our favourite real Instagram homes for inspiration and know how behind the feed.
Knowing we had to start the year with a bang, we have peered into the home, and person behind the stunning East Midlands home of Paul & Lee.
With over 20,000 Instagram fans and an array of beautifully decorated and styled rooms to envy, we are so excited to take you on an exclusive guide of the stunning home.
Paul and Lee have only been in their 4 bed house for just over a year but have already made it home. Adding personal touches and their classy, modern style, they have transformed their property into a cosy, warm home to admire.
Our journey started when we moved from our first home together after 5 years. It took us 2 years to find our ‘forever’ home. I then took to Instagram to search for home inspiration and thought I would make my own Instagram to document our journey.
I get all of my inspiration off other feeds on Instagram, tied in with my own ideas and finds, which is great to then share with others. I love the home interior community. It’s so positive and it’s great to share what we’ve been up to around the house, and give other ideas for their own.
2019 saw one of the biggest projects in Paul and Lee’s home.
We had our garden landscaped and it was the best decision. We had such a lovely garden in our old house, and we really wanted to better it. Now it's finished, we are so happy with it – I don’t think we did a bad job at all!
But when it comes Paul’s favorite room, one of the smallest takes the trophy.
My favourite room in the entire house has to be our downstairs toilet. It was pretty plain and bland when we moved in – just being white. We decided to take a gamble with a busy patternedwallpaper. I was a little worried with itbeing such a small space but I love it!
So what’s does Paul advise to those working on their home?
It’s really important to not rush when decorating. Take your time and try to get it right first time. Otherwise you’ll never be truly happy with the room and you’ll want to go back and revisit it. Another thing, research before you buy anything to make sure you're not paying too much as decorating can soon become expensive.

Final tip, try and not just follow trends but pick what you like. Shopping trends sometimes can only be the benefit of everybody else and something you will regret.
