Has Grey had its day? What colours can we see taking centre stage next?

We ’ ve been taking a look at the upcoming trends for interior paint and wallpapers, so you can get ahead of the curve. WALLPAPER – WILL BE BIGGER, BOLDER AND BRIGHTER.

Wallpaper certainly isn ’t going anywhere. Moreover, wallpaper in the coming year will certainly be bigger, bolder and brighter than we ’ ve been using in our homes recently. We predict homeowners will become more daring with the prints, colours and even texture of wallpaper.

WARM NEUTRALS

We believe Grey is on the way out, with many homes turning to warm neutrals to create an inviting colour palette. Warmer tones like oatmeal offer more warmth and homely ambience that Grey certainly doesn ’t.

DARK, BOLD SHADES

Whilst dark, bold colours are already here, we feel 2021 will be the continuation of its popularity. Once we shied away from dark colours in fear of losing light and space. Now, bold, dark shades are vibrant and space changing, especially when styled with the perfect lighting and soft furnishings. Deep blue and emerald greens will certainly be centre stage in our homes!

TEXTURE

Yes, texture is going to be hugeeeee! For those homeowners who are dubious of clashing colours or bold palettes, playing with texture will be the next best thing. A combination of the same colour across various finishes is a fantastic way to add interest into a space, whilst keeping a safe palette.
