Presentation, methodology, good practice Provide the participants with: a. media literacy competencies; b. basic methods to consume media in an informed way; c. a general overview on how exposed we are on the world wide web and d. tools to help them protect their privacy and anonymity. 25-35min 15-20 participants Pens & papers for notes. The facilitators start with a presentation of the media literacy concept and its importance in today's world. After the focus shifts on how young people can be media literate while consuming media by thinking critically and to questions that the consumer of media must ask regarding any information they receive. In the second part facilitators start with a presentation of the privacy pyramid and after that explain each step as well as the possible risks and solutions. How do you feel about media literacy and critical thinking? How important do you think they are? How do you feel about your privacy after the presentation of the pyramid? Will you use any of the tools presented to protect your privacy more from now on? Digital competence: Gaining media literacy competencies and information on privacy basics.

Social and civic competences: Be familiarised with illegal limitations to citizens’ free access to information.
