upcycling
the brief
the sketching process allowed me to explore my ideas in a variety of forms and a wide range of solutions to complete this project in relation to the brief
sketching the UK creates over 33 million tonnes of waste per year
this gave me ideas into accessories in which are never really seen as being upcycled, which is why I decided to go for the umbrella idea as I believed I could be most creative following this route
final design
the brief Explore the commercial home-ware market and develop a single or range of projects specifically for sheet material manufacturing such as laser, water or plasma cutting.
This is the final white card model i came up with. This model shows the accurate size, form and connection to the bulb, with accurate representation using a ceiling light as an example.

brief...
starpack - hidr8
Design an innovative and creative structure as a free standing display unit to contain the 600ml new water bottles. this brief was quite challening as the requirements were very specfic, with maximumsize dimensions being 600mm left-right, 400mm front-back and 1720mm in height.
product aims - has to be free standing - be innovative in structure and shape - simple assembly - robust to withstand retail environments - highlight key benefits of the product
sketching
this sketching period allowed me to explore different styles and designs for pos displays as the brief was very specific into what we had to achieve
bottles rest at shoulder height making it easy for every shelf to be accessed revolving shelves make accessing the bottles even easier
blue foam sketch model to demostrate form of the product.
Final Design
the brief...
To design a living space / products for the young, mobile, urban dweller of the 21st century. Your living space is limited to 15 sq meters and must incorporate all of the basic housing products. You must also select a specific design challenge and develop a innovative product / solution in response to this need.
The product i decided to design was a table which is mounted onto the side of a wall as a set of shelves. As the living space is heavily restricted, having this foldable table provides heaps of space upstairs to make room for more people when hosting gatherings.
FLOOR 1
The living space is shown below, consisting of two floors, with the sleeping and social area upstairs, and then basic housing products including: shower, sink, fridge, oven, toilet, bed and washing machine. - Shower
Bed -
- Sink
FLOOR 2
Table - Table - Fridge - Sink - Washing Machine
TV Stairs Wardrobe -
- Oven - Stairs & Storage - Toilet - Counter

FLOOR PLAN
This project was based on an entertainment brief where the living space is based off student living with an entertainment aspect, where the user lives alone and enjoys hosting gatherings of 4 - 6 people within their home.
FINAL DESIGN
The Brief
International Design Studio - Canadian-Style Bench
explore the commercial contract and home marketsdeveloping a small stool or bench specifically for production in wood.
FINAL DESIGN
the brief design an innovative new product for the ‘Blox’ product range to be sold in Wilko Stores across the UK.
product features:
- should be gender neutral - manufactured at a wilko price point - shouldn’t be a kit design, but should be compatible with other existing kits and other competing brands
designed around young families
i decided to look into how i could make the packaging more involved into the product itself, which is why i made the packaging not only storage but a fun, playful experience for the user as well.
background panel can be easily replaced
large playable, smooth surface for extra entertainment
Large buildable area for more creativity
final design
neatly folds into a rectangular storage box for easy storage solution
large basket-like handles for easy transport for both adults and children
personal photography Over the past two years I have found an interest in photography. I cover a wide range of photography including urban and automotive photography and am always looking to improve.
