FREE! Hazard Recognition in the Workplace All safety training takes time and commitment, but I don’t know another topic that provides a business more value for their dollar than hazard recognition – especially this one, offered at no cost! Recognizable hazards contribute to thousands of workplace injuries each year. According to the Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA), a root cause of workplace injuries and incidents is the failure to recognize, identify, or anticipate the presence of hazards. While many workplace safety courses are very technical and require advanced knowledge, hazard recognition is a basic course designed to help employees identify simple hazards that are easily overlooked every day. Join us for this expert chat and learn how hazard recognition is a mindset and culture change that occurs with a deeper understanding of common dangers. Light breakfast fare included. There are many reasons for driving, whether it be commuting to and from work, making a sales call, delivering a product or service, or just picking up lunch. Driving may seem routine but can be very dangerous. Every five seconds an automobile crash occurs. Every ten seconds an injury occurs from a crash, and every twelve minutes someone dies from an automobile accident. Most accidents occur during the work day. Transportation accidents are the leading cause of on–the–job deaths. This course covers the importance of driving safety, preparing to drive, driving on the freeway, driving on city streets, speeding, drinking and driving, parking and what to do in an accident. $65 N.O. This course will focus on a review of the standards established by the National Safety Council and the Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD). Emphasis is placed on individual flagger requirements regarding at–risk worker training and responsibilities. Topics of discussion include, but are not limited to, advance warning areas, transition areas, activity areas and termination areas of work zones. On–site outdoor training examples are used to illustrate the proper selection, set up and use of temporary traffic control devices. This 4 hour course is designed to satisfy federal, state and local flagger certification requirements. Upon completion, students receive a 3–year certification. $95 CEPD–505–E1SP CEPD–505–E1SU CEPD–505–E2SU CEPD–505–E1FA CEPD–505–E2FA CEPD–505–E3FA
