BULK DROP OFF BULK DROP OFF

Below is a recap on how our Spring Bulk Trash Drop Off went last month. We saw residents get creative with their drop offs. Shoutout to those who improvised by using their longboard skateboards (McChord) to get a sectional couch to the site, while others used the trunk of their Lincoln sedan to hold a love seat (East) Also, who knew minivans could hold so much cargo?

We appreciate everyone who took advantage of this opportunity to purge, clean up, and dispose of the no longer needed items laying around. We look forward to hosting another drop off this fall in October

Did you know that Liberty Military Housing is charged $8.56 per overfilled resident trash or recycle tote from Lemay? Starting June 1st, residents will be billed for these charges if their totes are not in compliance at every scheduled pick up. Please make sure the lids close entirely on pick up day and do not overfill to avoid these charges. Contact your district office for more details.

Did you know that the Sergeant Major of the Army (SMA) Michael Grinston used to live in Quarters here on JBLM? That's right! Right before he was appointed SMA, he was stationed here and was our Icorps Commanding Sergeant Major. I had the pleasure of moving him and his family in and out of Quarters from 2015-2017. I was reunited with SMA. Grinston on May 18th when he visited JBLM to host a quality of life brief at the Carey Theater on Lewis Main. What a remarkable experience to see our Service Members come full circle in their careers and in our housing world. These experiences make our job memorable, one of a kind, and purpose to serve!
