Roy (Charlie)
Fultz
Roy Charles “Charlie” Fultz Sr., 77, of Reedsville, passed away on Monday Feb. 21, 2022, at Geis- in ger-Lewistown Hospital. Dad always said, “When I die, pour my ashes in an old coffee can, raise a toast to my memory, and just bury me with your mother.”
He was adamantly op posed to having a tradi tional viewing and funeral when he passed. He was not a man of frills or fancy things, so the thought of an expensive funeral, with town-folk filing by his over priced, shiny coffin, all while commenting, “How good ole Charlie looked,” seemed, well — preten tious and wasteful. So, with this in mind, we’re going to honor his wishes accordingly.
We will be celebrating the life of an incredible husband, father, brother, uncle, grandfather, greatgrandfather and friend.
No matter who you knew him as — Charlie, Dad, Pap, Chuck, Roy or Jake ó he was salt-of-the-earth, kind and giving. He was a man of service; he served honorably his nation, his family, and his commu nity, most notably as a Brown Township Supervi sor and Reedsville Scout leader. He was quick with a smile and eager to lend a
IN LOVING MEMORY
hand. He worked hard as a machinist, a farmer and a craftsman.
He touched the lives of many, and we wish to share the celebration of his life with everyone whom he called, “friend,” and everyone who had the plea sure of knowing him over the course of his 77 years.
Join us for a very “non traditional” sendoff with all the things dad loved family and friends togeth er, a pig roast, great mu sic and lots of stories and laughter.
P.S. We’ll have the PSU game playing on a wides creen so no excuses ó We Are!!!
The celebration of Roy’s life will start at 1 p.m. Sat urday, Oct. 15, 2022, at Mil roy firehouse, 190 College Ave., Milroy, PA 17063.
Please RSVP via Face book or by phone at (717) 713-5156 by Oct 7.

John Dangler
Keim
John Dangler Keim, of Columbia, S.C., passed away peacefully on the morning of Oct. 21, 2022, af ter a lengthy bout with can cer surrounded by his loved ones. He was 77.
John was born on June 7, 1945, in Lewistown, a son of the late John and Anna Mary Keim.
John grew up in Lew istown surrounded by nu merous aunts, uncles and cousins with whom he maintained life-long rela tionships. He was a natu ral athlete playing varsity sports for Lewistown High School. Upon high school graduation, he entered Susquehanna University in Selinsgrove, where he met the love of his life in fellow freshman Andrea Schumann. After gradua tion in 1967 with a bache lor’s degree, the first in his family, John entered US Naval Officer Candidate School. He was commis sioned into active duty and stationed in Charleston, S.C., and served aboard the USS Sellers.
During active duty John
Kwed Andrea on Feb. 3, 1968, in Andrea’s hometown of Tarrytown, N.Y., and they honeymooned in Bermuda. This year they celebrated their 54th wedding anniver sary.
Once John completed his active-duty service, he worked for Price Water house as a Certified Public Accountant in Philadel phia. Living in Philadelphia only fed his fervent support for the various Philadelphia professional sports teams, but none dearer to him than the Philadelphia Phillies. He attended the last game at the venerable Connie Mack stadium to watch a Phillie’s victory. A move in 1972 with Price Waterhouse brought him to Columbia, where John would raise his family with Andrea, which by now had grown to include a son and daughter. John spent most of his professional ca reer as the chief financial officer for 32 years for Lex ington-based Medical Ser vices of America, retiring in 2014. He also retired from the US Naval Reserve with a rank of Commander. While living in Colum bia he naturally became a supporter of the University of South Carolina athletics programs, both men’s and women’s teams, though he never lost his passion for the Phillies. There was nev er a decision on what to do for spring break week, it meant the family traveled to spring training in Flor ida to watch the Philadel phia Phillies. John traveled to watch the Phillies win the 1980 and 2008 World Se ries. He could also be found cheering on Gamecock foot ball, baseball and basketball games. Football Saturdays often found him with the game muted on television, the play by play on the ra dio and a computer track ing it online. Likewise, as a Lady Gamecock basketball season ticket holder, he was rewarded watching them win two National Cham pionships and traveled to cheer them on during their
various playoff runs. He was more than a spectator of sports, but participated in them throughout his life, playing basketball and soft ball in recreation leagues and also joining in the bur geoning running revolution and participating in the in fancy of triathlons. It was during one of the latter events as an older partici pant that he acquired the nickname “Pops,” which he was called affectionately by his granddaughter and other loved ones. Later golf become his sport of choice and it rubbed off on Andrea as the two of them played on courses throughout the southeast and across the country. The golf courses often seemed to be near ca sinos. Besides golf, John and Andrea traveled via Europe an river cruise, Canadian Rockies by train and planes criss- crossing the world with family and friends and happily hosted holidays for the same groups. Less physical pursuits included a daily crossword puzzle or two and any numerous card games with family and friends.
