The Sentinel’s annual Readers’ Choice survey celebrates the local businesses that power our community’s economy and keeps dollars here in our valley- which is more important than ever. These include the business owners who sponsor our local youth teams and their employees who live and spend money in the community. Let’s face it- we all shop online, but there are so many things you just can’t experience with e-commerce, like outstanding customer service, a familiar face who does great work on your property or a delicious dish of food served at a favorite restaurant.
Our survey celebrates that locally unique aspect of business that will never be replicated by an online purchase. Our 17th annual Sentinel Readers’ Choice Survey lets you recommend your favorites again this year. And one randomly drawn voter will receive $100 just for voting in the contest.
HOW TO VOTE
The nominees in each category are listed in alphabetical order as opposed to opposed to number of nominations received, so the survey begins with a clean slate. As was the case last year, we no longer have a printed ballot inside this edition, as all voting is now online to allow for a quicker and most accurate tally of the votes. All you need is an email address and access to the internet via your smartphone, tablet or computer in order to vote. For those without access to the internet, they can ask
a family member to vote online for them or they may obtain one paper ballot at The Sentinel during regular business hours.
You may vote once per day in each category by going to lewistownsentinel.com/readerschoice and selecting each group and category you want to cast votes within. Last year we had some closely contested races, so be sure to show your favorites some support by voting daily. Let all your family, friends and neighbors know they can vote by sharing on social media or email right from the voting site.
WHAT HAPPENS NEXT
After voting closes on July 25, 2024, we’ll tally the ballots. The contestant that gets the most votes in each category will be declared the winner, and those with the second and third most votes will be declared finalists in no partic-
ular order. If there is a tie in any category, we will announce both when we publish all the winners and finalists on September 13 in a special printed edition and online.
