PROGRAMS | LETTER FROM THE DIRECTOR

Library services are transforming to meet the needs of the 21st century user. From technology classes to community meeting spaces, we are creating a dynamic environment for patrons that use our resources and facilities. We continue to evaluate trends in technology and information as we forge partnerships with local businesses and nonprofit organizations to better serve our residents. Our staff strives to provide the best programs, materials and services for every user at a minimal cost to you. We are agents of change, constantly seeking opportunities to connect, engage and enrich the lives of our citizens. We’ve lined up an incredible summer schedule full of innovative and exciting programs for all ages including author, Ron Rash, Foreign Film and Food, Photography Workshop and Gunsmiths: The Quattlebaum and Hall Families. This summer … Escape the Ordinary and check out all that your local library has to offer.

Riverbanks Zoo: Feet, Feathers, Fins and Fur How do animals survive in their habitat without our modern technology? They use their built in skills, of course. Uncover what traits are learned and which are inherited.

Porkchop Productions: Stone Soup

Sometimes it takes a hero to make a village, and the greedy residents of “Mine” are in for a rude awakening. When a stranger comes to town, life is turned upside down and the secret is in the soup! Programs are for children, ages 5 to 12 years. Please note there will be a program break June 29 – July 3. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate groups at Summer Reading programs.
