Everything Changes, Nothing Ever Changes: demonstrating it successfully endures the test of time, a brand reaches the legitimate right to pronounce (slightly) solemn words. It is simultaneously a mark of wisdom and excitement. It is classical already and still uneasy to coin at once. Lexon is 25 this year. Through the years, Lexon ethos remained faithful to the dreams that initially standed when it started: these emotions that fuel our will to create stay as intense as ever. Nothing has changed. And it is also dramatically different, as our desire for everything that’s new never rests and still triggers our every design moves. To the point that each season, every new talented designer encountered, every invention unable to be translated on our design fields, it feels like we may be starting all anew, each and every time. Identifying functions and needs, organizing fresh environments and striving to match desires, pointing out moments and paying attention to people: here, designing products shall be a process of addressing the people we consider, and ourselves at once. Design becomes this most precise translation, humble and joyful altogether, carrying the idea of life as an ongoing flow which we would be able to celebrate everyday. To that dimension of the momentum shall be added projection, that other synonym of our profession: it is precisely in this ability to stand here and now, foreseeing simultaneously our future and other places, that we wish to imagine all of our work to come. RENÉ ADDA Founder of Lexon

PAULINE DELTOUR Fueled by an enthusiastic welcome, the Fine collection ought to get new improvements. A tiny lamp, a clockwork and a radio shall complete the smart family of objects. That unescapable distinction of a design which is together delicate and sharp still brands its personality: that peculiar vocabulary may also characterize that larger original expression of young French designer Pauline Deltour. Skillfully raised along one of the most important european designers, German Konstantin Grcic, Pauline Deltour starts an independent practice in 2010. She grew fast as an immediately identifiable signature, thanks to her precise hand, neat lines and carefully selected materials and color ranges. A sort of severe glamour which brands her various proposals, now broadly ranging from tiny objects to the bigger scales of interior architecture.
EUGENI QUITLLET
6
Eugeni Quittlet is the heir, in his full rights, of the handsome codex allowing irresistible seduction. Material and light, or the precise lack of the first and the second for the sake of emotion, a skillful play on functions and illusions: a lexicon based on virtuoso framing. He manages to allow
the perfect answer to the elementary desk and house daily needs, while giving way to dreamful perspectives. A rare professional expertise acquired through the years and collaborations with major people and brands rocketed Quittlet’s career path. Designer of The Year at Salon Maison & Objet 2016 (Paris), the ambitious Spanish designer proposes a seducing vision of an office which may become an otherworldly promise. Quittlet keeps his word in succeeding to keep his own way of design magics built on simplicity and emotion.
7
LUCA ARTOLI Flexibility and movement, an ease of use translated by precise design: due to the values it carries, Lexon luggage collections created by Luca Artioli may stand as an important part of our brand identity, standing as namesake for its ethos. An impeccable efficiency which is now being extended through three new different lines, foreseeing trends, needs and improved requirements, related to new tools or changing moods. Twenty years on the design front, Luca Artioli shows an obvious maturity addressing such various issues as elegance, sturdiness and lightness, with an accessory nowadays bearing the same important symbolical criteria of a clothing item. The spectrum of the thematically nuanced luggage lines are as many clues of our Luca Artioli’s skills.
MARC BERTHIER 8
Certainly, there weren’t any better options than to celebrate Lexon’s birthday through a remastered version of one of its most rightfully dignified design creations: Tykho definitely became a genuine design landmark. Waterproof and more powerful, matched by BlueTooth speakers answering similar heavy duty requirements, it is now a enhanced Tykho tribe, asking for the pleasure of your company
everywhere. Marc Berthier signature testifies of Lexon’s dedication to a certain design vision, through a prominent figure of French Design, who eventually became broadly famous. Tykho itself is a design dream, the enduringly demonstration of a smart and witty product – a spitting image of Berthier himself, both marquee names by now. 9
IONNA VAUTRIN
LUCIE KOLDOVA
Ionna Vautrin’s work is a meeting between industry and poetry. She draws everyday objects whose ambition is to be simple and obvious but surprising. These projects offer a gentle and generous presence, organic and geometric shapes, a cheerful and colorful spirit, an intuitive and functional usage.
Immediately remarkable by the amount of work she achieved, as her own studio solely started in 2012 (Paris, then Prague). An identity through which curvaceous lines and shiny transparencies show: an elegance which always translates that sort of seduction, requiring high precision plastic skills, an obviously rare personality.
ADRIAN ET JEREMY WRIGHT British designers Adrian and Jeremy Wright founded their studio, DesignWright, in 2005. Their approach is driven by a desire to reconsider and simplify how objects look and function. The brothers have a background in engineering and a solid understanding of the manufacturing process. A series of products for the kitchen and home, designed for clients including Lexon, Joseph Joseph, or Normann Copenhagen, have established DesignWright as an innovative, intelligent practice celebrated by industry and consumers alike.
MATHIEU LEHANNEUR Mathieu Lehanneur is a French designer who is on the forefront of international design scene; he is also one of the few in his generation to use his talents in a variety of areas, beyond furniture. Innovatively, he combines design, science, technology and art as poetic-communicative components to create humanistic projects to achieve maximum welfare for human beings, considered by him as complex structures which need more than chairs, but need air to breathe, sustainable food, good health, and love to live better.
HECTOR SERRANO A design sensitivity built on crossing cultures (initial Spain, United Kingdom later) and working habits. It is now the whole european territory which became his working field, in terms of collaborating companies. Hector Serrano stands as a brilliant and discreet designer, where a variety of scales (from that well structured Lexon clockwork to a London Bus) reveals the promises of one’s mind : one of a longterm kind.
MARC VENOT PHILIPPE TABET A wish to reach an expression of a fuller kind, careful to anchor the object into that story which is already its own, or the one that is to become its own. Circumstances which take part into that elaboration, crystalizing its inner dynamics and peculiar spirit, are born out of patient and vigilant observation. Combining the powerful qualities of a design to its simplicity: a discipline of sensitivity and refinement, rarely met on an industrial design level. 10
In the tiny item, desk accessory and the simple functions it serves, may hide an incredible amount of details and attentions: the narrower its volume, the hardest the precision required. All that is Marc Vénot’s skills reveal his concentration and the intellectual process that lead to design, from manipulation of the object itself to the values it translate toward its user: ideally gathering physical use and the obvious grace of a sensitive spectrum.
