I am going to basketball class!
Basketball will be at Estabrook school in the gym.
I will have basketball coaches there who will teach me.
Their names
are
Coach Dan, Coach Rob and Coach CJ.
There will also be other helpers there! I will see Kate and Gloria who will help me with anything I need.
There will be other kids learning basketball with me. Some may already know how to play basketball and some will be learning, just like me!
We will usually start out with a warm up and then do basketball drills and skills.
We might be practicing shooting the ball, learning about defense or working on passing the ball.
I may not know the skills right away and might make mistakes , but that's okay because I am learning!
You can do it!
After, we will play a group game. I might not know how to play at first, but the coaches will teach me.
It is okay if someone does not pass to me or takes my ball during the game. I will remind myself that it is just a game we are just practicing and everyone is learning.
If I ever feel frustrated, nervous or want a break, I can chose to sit on the bleachers and watch.
