2 motorcab drivers arrested ORMOC CITY --- Operatives of Anti-Illegal Drugs Special Operations Task Force of Police Station 3 based in Brgy. Linao arrested two persons for possession of illegal drugs of shabu during responding police assistance operation in Purok Million, Brgy. Punta, recently. Police Station 3 chief P/SInsp. Benjamin B. Lodo, identified the 2 suspects as Jeffrey Tansingco, 36, tricycle driver, with live-in partner a native of Minglanilla Cebu, and presently residing in the said place, and Jomar Gablino, 19, tricycle driver, and a resident of BLISS, Brgy. Bagong buhay. P/SInsp. Lodo said that a certain Christene Subito, 26, the live-in partner of Tansingco went to their station and reported that she was manhandled by her partner. She said that she was even undressed by her partner outside their rented room prompting her to get a hanged laundry and ran towards Station 3 even if the clothes she got was not of her size. Upon receiving this information, P/SInsp. Lodo immediately formed a team to response to the area led by SPO1 Jeffrey Magkilat and PO3 Gerson Agcang. However, upon entering the rented room of the suspect drug paraphernalia and one large plastic sachet containing white crystalline suspected to be shabu were seen scattered at the floor

She said that “those were all challenges, and it was God's perfect timing." Richard ran for congressman in 2010 but was disqualified due to residency issues. His wife ran in his place and won. He ran again for mayoralty post in 2013 but lost to Edward Codilla. of the room. The police said that the suspect went wild when his live-in partner left their place after arguing with her. However, the suspect seemed to have been settled down when the police arrived. During inventory the cellular phone of the suspect received a text message informing him that they are on their way to his house to buy P2,000 worth of shabu stuffs. Several minutes later a tricycle arrived in the area with the driver and one passenger. When the police frisked the two, the passenger ran away from the area leaving the driver identified later as Jomar Goblino, 19. During body searched the police found nothing from his pocket. However upon opening the driver’s license one piece of plastic sachet containing white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu fell to the ground prompting the police to arrest him. Goblino denied owning the shabu that fell to the ground and denied going to the place of Tansingco to buy shabu. However, the cellular phone that was used to text message to Tansingco was in his possession. Tansignco admitted owning all the evidence taken from him and disclosed that he has been selling the illegal drug to fellow tricycle drivers for several years already. RCD

The second was to commend the people of Ormoc for participating in a clean, honest and orderly election, and the next resolutions were to pledge support to Mayor Gomez and President Rodrigo Duterte, which the Ormoc Development Team (ODT) had supported. Tongonan is the richest barangay in the city, earning an actual income of P44,055,387.55 in 2014 for sitting on the 700MW Leyte Geothermal Production Field (LGPF). Funding for the public market comes from Energy Regulation 1-94, the implementing rules and regulations of RA 7638 section 5 (i) providing for a financial benefit to host communities of power generating facilities. The benefit will be used for the community’s development and livelihood, among others. The market was first developed at a cost of P3,184,935.41. The Energy Department released another P3,195,123.76 for its

rehabilitation after it was damaged by super typhoon Yolanda. The project’s scale is befitting for a municipality and considered huge for a barangay. The exterior of the 804.97 sq.m building is complete but the interior remains hollow. Barangay Chairman Isagani R. Bañez intends put a modern airconditioned supermarket, hardware and other establishments like a coffee bar, family KTV, computer store, etc. The public market will serve the needs of residents in Tongonan and nearby barangays as well as employees involved in LGPF who will no longer have to go to the city proper 19.3 kms. away. Opinyon

June 27-July 3, 2016

Why President Duterte doesn’t like to stay in the Palace? The President has all the rights to decide whether to stay in Malacanang or in any place he wants to stay as Presidente de Republica de Filipinas. It all depends on him. When first ask about staying in Palace, he firmly answered that he doesn’t want to stay in Malacanang all the time. He explained that he can’t sleep in there. The first reason he gave was that there are several ghosts in the palace. It is unbelievable for the man like him who seems to have no fear at all in fighting against criminals is afraid of the ghost. But, of course, that was only a joke. There must be other reasons. This time, his alibi is – there are too many doors. And, that he is allergic to a house with too many doors. He is just simply avoiding to live in Malacañang Palace: he seems to be not comfortable with the labyrinthine passageways leading to doors and more doors. He

discovered this during the day when he was sworn into office as the 16th president of the country. He really believes in the saying “there is no place like home.” After the President led the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) turnover of the chain of command, he attended the AFP command conference but he left after this and headed straight to the airport for his flight to Davao City on board of a Gulfstream G150 aircraft, RPC 8150. President Digong Duterte is really a simple man who is not used to live in big houses, much more in a Palace. He was said to have been amazed by the many exits and entrances leading from one section to another part of the Palace during the inaugural ceremonies. And even admitted that he did not know where to go anymore as one door would lead to another. The sprawling Malacañang Palace complex is the official residence and principal workplace of the President. It has various function rooms that can be used depending on the occasion. But he promised to open the doors of the palace to the poor, with the children first in line for an educational tour. More importantly, he sees the palace as not just suited place for him while doing his job effectively.

Matud pa gani ni Senador Ping Lacson, imposible kuno nga mahunong ang krimen, not in six months, not in six years and not even in 60 years.

Naa nay daghang nagsurender. Dili man kana sila basta-basta kay mosukol man kana sila.

Legarda expresses support for Duterte Administration

Senator Loren Legarda expressed her full support to President Rodrigo Duterte as he was officially sworn in today as the 16th President of the Republic of the Philippines. Legarda said she acknowledges the issues that the President raised in his inaugural speech, such as the need to restore people’s faith and trust in government, and vowed to work with the administration to

address these matters. “President Duterte hit the nail right on the head. I agree with all that he said especially to cut bureaucracy and remove redundancy because the role of government is to uplift the people, not to burden them. I will fully support him as he has a huge mandate and the political will to get things done,” she said. Legarda also said that she

agrees with President Duterte when he said that for change to be permanent and significant, it must start with each and every citizen. She also hailed the President’s pronouncement on inclusivity to ensure that the Moros and indigenous peoples are part of the peace process and overall development of the country. “We can see the sincerity

in the President’s words, the singlemindedness of a true leader, the political will to bring a government that truly serves the people with passion, vision, and compassion. I am very optimistic that we can fully push for inclusive, equitable, and sustainable growth under the new administration as the President himself embraces these concepts and reaches out to all sectors of society,” Legarda concluded.
