A Cherished Tradition

The Class of 2022 commemorated its graduation from the Academy by making a class gift to the school, a gesture of gratitude and appreciation for their high school experience. The class gift committee, helmed by All-School President Ferdoss Ibrahim, Senior Class President Ryota Nambara, and class representatives Natalia Cummings, Cutler Terlato, and Stewart Thompson, joined with classmates to raise more than $2,100. They used the funds to purchase a bronze statue of a handshake, a nod to the All-School Handshake tradition at LFA, a ceremony that symbolizes unity and community. The sculpture will sit atop a pedestal with a plaque honoring the Class of 2022. The class also placed a paver at Alumni Circle near the Bowditch Bell, a tradition that started with the Class of 2014. The paver is signed on the back by all members of the class.
