Alejandro Fernandez Artist

Milan

The Peruvian artist was born in the town of Ayacucho, which is set amid Peruvian mountains in the backdrop, and is currently living and working in Milan. After studying Plastic Arts and graduating from Arts School in Peru, he can be regarded today as one of the best-known modern artists of his country. His work was on show in a number of collective art exhibits and has won noteworthy awards. His work of schematized “windows/curtains” manages to convey all the tumultuous force of matter of informal works. For Alejandro Fernandez painting is a reserved viewpoint from where he can observe reality, an extraordinary vehicle for adventuring into a journey back in time to rediscover his roots, and those of the world that surround him. Awards: first prize “Gold medal”, Banco de Crédito, Escuela Nacional de Bellas Artes, Peru second prize “Estandàr Internacional Club Perdano de Orquìdeas”, Lima, Peru third prize in Painting “ Primiera Conferencia Internacional de Orquìdeas”, Vancouver, Canada

Dao Hai Phong Artist

Vietnam

Dao Hai Phong, the son of the well-â€?known Vietnamese artist Dao Duc, was born and raised in Hanoi where he studied at the Hanoi College of Film and Theatre. It is here that he won a medal as a designer at the Vietnam Film Festival for his contribution. In 1987, Phong graduated from the College of Drama and Cinematography, where he studied in the Art Film Design Department. Although he had painted all his life, it was only after his graduation that Phong began to focus on developing his individual style. Since 1992 he has held the position of Chief Designer of the Vietnam Film Studio, but in the meantime has continued to paint and exhibit his work. Phong believes that every artist is like a tree in a forest – each tree must have its own style. His style is obvious: deep primary colors, squares, circles and rectangles. His subjects are the villages, mountains and the long and jagged seashore around Vietnam. His paintings are unique; walk into any gallery in Hanoi and his work stands out with its saturated blues, reds and yellows.

Jagannath Paul Artist

India

Born in West Bengal, Jagannath Paul graduated from the Government College of Arts & Crafts, Kolkata in 2000 with 1st Class 1st Distinction. Jagannath Paul is an immensely talented and sensitively orchestrated young artist, who has struck a deep emotional chord in the hearts of viewers with the strength of his artistic conviction. A natural penchant for charcoal, mastery of the human anatomy and clear vision of profound integrity makes this young artist create arresting paintings that are aesthetically resplendent, remarkably distinctive and bear a universal appeal. His works show tremendous balance between figurative style and rhythmic patterns. The use of charcoal and acrylic on canvas testifies his inventiveness and gives a sensory feel of pigments. The tonal variation of the contoured forms makes his works visually engrossing. His acrylic palette comprises of solid colors such as vermillion, orange, yellow, blue and green.
