Ornamental Metalwork L&H Companies fabricated various stainless steel and aluminum structures including railings, gates, lobby and suite screens for the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Sacramento, CA. The customized suite screens stand 8’ tall with over 47 intricately placed welded pieces and several decorative reflective pieces complete with a custom 7 step paint process to emulate a brushed bronze finish. The lobby screens stand 9’ tall and feature a tailored “S-Shaped” design. They required 60 individually hand-cut percision rolled tubes with various bends and numerous compound mitered angles to align perfectly before welding and finishing with a bronze finish. The craftsmanship and hard work from our experienced welding team was a vital part of constructing these high-end pieces to create the high-end atmosphere desired by the client.
Atlanta Braves Iconic 25 ft. Rotating “A” L&H Companies commitment to develop this innovative sign started with designing a 25 ft. 360° rotating “A” by finding a supplier with a data ring that could rotate completely. Full scale engineering drawings and 3D renderings were developed during the process to ensure of no fabrication issues or interferences such as weight, ease of assembly, and sheet yielding. Steel and aluminum frames were fabricated piece by piece enduring rigorous testing for safety and longevity.
With over 70,000 LED’s to create the LED display board and a live video feed, the signature “A” is sure to shine bright for many years to come. Our experienced installation team used a 300 ton crane with 367 ft. main boom and 150 ft. jib to install the sign in pieces on top of the stadium placing the “A” in it’s final home. View the “Heartbeat of the A” video to see live footage of it’s installation at http://bit.ly/SuntrustParkA.
Catalyst Billboard L&H Companies was contracted by Catalyst Outdoor for the engineering, fabrication, and installation of the Quakertown Compass Billboard project. The project consisted of one 37’-6’ overall high x 28’-6’ overall wide structure comprised of four fabricated steel rings. Three of the rings had Watchfire LED boards on one side and painted large format flexible face substrate on the backside, however, the upper ring has an internally illuminated digitally printed flex face. The project also consisted of letters and directional arrows, bollard covers, and a Catalyst naming moniker.

Mercedes-Benz Stadium - Atlanta Falcons Mercedes-Benz Stadium is a brand new retractable-roof, multi-purpose stadium in Atlanta, Georgia, that will serve as the home of the Atlanta Falcons of the National Football League (NFL) and Atlanta United FC of Major League Soccer (MLS). Philadelphia Zoo L&H Companies and Gecko Design Group created an engaging experience with custom signage at the Philadelphia Zoo. From a monument sign with a custom granite base, to various aluminum animal silhouettes, a memorable experience with zoo identification came to life. The 22 ft. long metal monument sign was designed with a seating wall as a place where people could rest or take memorable photos when visiting the zoo.
Under Armour L&H Companies was awarded the fabrication & installation of signage at the new logistics facility in Baltimore. L&H installed 41 foot Aluminum Composite Material (ACM) at the two main entrances & their canopies – ACM is composed of two thin sheets of aluminum continuously bonded under pressure to both sides of a thermoplastic core. This is a great project showcasing L&H Companies ACM capabilities offering a range of ACM panels for use with digital inks, paints or vinyl graphics.
St. Luke’s Hospital St. Luke’s opened a new campus in Easton, Pennsylvania, with a facility footprint of over 500 acres. The hospital is situated hundreds of yards away from the street entrance on a multi-lane secondary road. Only having signage on the building would not be sufficient to identify the hospital from the road entrance, so the hospital needed large scale gateway signage. The 42 foot monument sign is made of metal and has a design that is reminiscent of water and waves with curves and multiple levels, creating a dimensional effect.

Two Innovative Sign Solutions for ASU Arizona State University wanted a seamless weld not exposing any assembly hardware for some of their ID signs. L&H Companies had to come up with an innovative way to join two surfaces at 45° right angles to create a virtually seamless square weld. We came up with a method to weld the aluminum channels together that allowed for the structure underneath to maintain its integrity and engineering stamp, while appearing on the outside as a seamless finish.
A second challenge was to fabricate two identical panels that would line up perfectly creating a seamless view on the 30 ft. pylon sign. Using our Flow Mach Waterjet, we cut the detailed ASU pitchfork toppers which not only created a precise identical cut on both panels but saved time for the client due to it’s excellence in speed and accuracy. The Waterjet also took their branding element, the pitchfork, to another innovative level by highlighting it and creating an architectural feature embedded into the sign versus etching it plainly.
Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City The highly challenging customized High Limit Lounge Portal was an ambitious project that called for letters to be placed on the uneven, illuminated acrylic portal with only a one-shot installation. In addition, High Limit plaques were fabricated and set onto hand-polished stainless-steel backgrounds to insure a captivating shine greeted all who entered the distinguished lounge. Another highly customized sign was designed for the Plum Lounge with hand polished metal letters and border. The result? A work of art which added the vital elegant dash of class to the lounge entrance.
