Asa member of the academic group of Jiangxi tradional rural villages in the third academic year, I visited several villages in Jiangxi, and was impressed by the building thoughts and theories of the local people.

Unfortunately, many natural villages are nearly extinct, thus I try to pick some key elements from the vernacular villages

and traditional gardens, using traditional building thoughts which emphasise the harmony of natural environment and individuals, to compose a village in the capital city of Jiangxi.

The project, which can be regarded as a hotel, consists of a series of homstays buildings as guest rooms and some public buildings like dining hall.

Wood and stone bricks are the most favoured materials in this project, which are also

convenient to acquire in the local area. These materials could also represent the traditional building wisdom.

The project does not simply try to provide a restore place for vistors to get away from the urban noise and experience the

local life, but also aims to appeal more attraction towards the surviving local villages as well as those traditional techniques and design methods in architecture, gardeing and construction.

The Landcape Design Studio aims at defining and experimenting categories, instruments and strategies to describe, interpret and transform open spaces and landscapes, in their natural and anthropological components, also in relation to the historical transformations and to the social-economic and territorial context to which they belong, with particular reference to the objectives of sustainable development.

Using simple installations, even just a "rock door" made of local carrara marble to "frame" the landscape elements, like the white rock mountains in the northern part of the city.

The basic method of sustainable design to explore the site and creat new landscape with maximun usage of the this forgotten land, the abandoned materials and the exiting elements around this area. For a small city like Carrara, a design with low cost is much favoured.

ABSTRACT

The vision for this project is to redefine Cremona’s identity from a small petroleum capital to that of a sustainable one. We aim to achieve this goal by first healing the landscape from its past trauma through curated actions that aim to revitalize abandoned areas into fertile landscapes. By introducing sustainable roads, parks, community gardens, ecological corridors, and organic waste recycling centers, we begin to re-imagine Cremona’s potential as a green city. The main focus for the thematic project is the ex-raffaneria where we aim to reclaim the under-utilized area and reclaim is as a green public space for citizens and tourists alike.

In certain cases, when projecting into the future one must look to the past for inspiration before it was tarnished by the greed of modern capitalism. We catalyse the act of remembering Cremona’s abundant rural landscapes through taking the spectator on a journey with interactive art installations projecting historical paintings. Furthermore, by employing an ancient method of acupuncture reinterpreted into land art, we are able to begin healing the landscape from its past trauma through a method known as Earth acupuncture.

Our project is executed with an understanding that when capturing the landscape you become both the observer and the observed.

ống in Vietnamese means "pipe house", it is a type of long houses densily distributed in Hà Nội. Based on this typology, we developed a shared house for a famiy and the community. We also proposed the parties being happened in this house for celebrating the

REGENERATION OF THE URBAN SPACE IN THE POSTPANDEMIC ERA FOR WUHAN

Wuhan is in east-central Hubei, at latitude 29° 58'–31° 22' N and longitude 113° 41'–115° 05' E. Wuhan sits at the confluence of the Han River flowing into the Yangtze River at the East of the Jianghan Plain along the Yangtze's middle reaches.

It is simple in terrain—low and flat in the middle and hilly in the south, with the Yangtze and Han rivers winding through the city. The She River enters the Yangtze in Huangpi District. Wuhan occupies a land area of 8,494.41 square kilometers (3,279.71 sq mi), most of which is alluvial plain and decorated with hills and a great number of lakes and ponds. Water makes up one quarter of Wuhan's urban territory, which is the highest percentage among major cities in China.[1] Wuhan has nearly 200 lakes, including the East Lake of 33 km2, and Tangxun Lake, which are the largest lakes entirely within a city in China.[2]

In December 2019, an epidemic of a new coronavirus disease began in Wuhan.[3] The disease, which became known as coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), spread and developed into the worldwide COVID-19 pandemic. The virus contagion had been accelerating abroad in part during massive repatriations from tens of countries attempting to evacuate thousands of foreign nationals who had resided in Wuhan as expatriats.
